Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix +
Organization XIII Limited Cut FAQ, V2.1
Last Updated 09/03/07
Next Update to include: More submissions
_______________________________________________________________________________

Forward: This guide was designed for the Critical Mode difficulty level. I
would imagine this guide is universal for all difficulties however.

Update History:

09/03/07 - All submissions posted that have been received.

06/18/07 - V2.0 released. HUGE re-format of guide layout, and some of the
submissions I received post. Sorry for the slow updates everyone,
           doing my best here :P

06/02/07 - V1.2 released. Fixed about a bazillion spelling mistakes.

04/29/07 - V1.1 released. Fixed Marluxia's gender problem and Saïx's lack of
division. I removed difficulty ratings because so many people are
disagreeing with my ratings, and they are ultimately a matter of
opinion. Added a few strategies that were submitted. I have quite
a few strategies that are too vague to follow or cannot seem to be
reproduced. I encourage everybody to submit strategies, and please
try to be very clear :-). Next update I will add more user strats,
and re structure the guide to read it easier.

04/22/07 - V1.0 released. Riddled with spelling errors I'm sure, and formatting
could use some work. No user submissions yet. But otherwise, basic
           strategies and information all complete.

|_____________________________________________________________________________|

I just feel that there should be somewhere in here that I can
mention myself, you know? My name is David Laufer, this is my
second submission to GameFAQS, and it's for a game I truly
loved playing, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix +.

I found the Organization XIII remix battles to be just
absurdly difficult, so I felt I should make available the
strategies I found particularly useful in defeating them. More
importantly, I want your strategies as well, so that the guide
can help as many people as possible.

YOUR SUGGESTIONS ARE INCREDIBLY WELCOME! When it comes to
strategies, if you have an effective means of defeating these
incredibly difficult bosses, please submit it to me! If it is
useful, it will be included! My contact information is at the
bottom of the FAQ, under "Contact" [19cc]

This guide is meant to assist those fighting the Organization XIII Final Cut
battles on Critical Mode. These fights are found at the end of the secret
dungeon.

Seeing as this is the hardest task to accomplish in KH2FM, I will assume a few
things about your progress in the game thus far. I do NOT recommend you attempt
to challenge these bosses OR use this guide until you have done the following:

1) Beaten the entire game, including Xemnas
2) Gotten to the end of the secret dungeon
3) Beaten every silhouette fight
4) Gotten to level 99
5) Have maxed out all your Form Levels
6) Can figure out how to forge items, and can figure out where a recipe or
   keyblade you missed are.
7) You are playing on Critical Mode. If you are playing on any other difficulty
you are probably wondering why a guide is even necessary.

I will also be assuming that you either know Japanese, can read katakana, or
have some means of deciphering which piece of equipment is which, and which
ability is which. I will IGNORE ANY E-MAIL WITH TRANSLATON REQUESTS!

|Because these fights are so brutal, it is very important you come into them |

|This is subject to the most often change from fight to fight, but generally |

| GENERAL STRATEGIES [4gst]|
|_____________________________________________________________________________|

*Because I am assuming you are Critical Mode, I assume you have the handicaps
that go with it. If you are playing on an easier difficulty, you will find
a lot of these strategies unnecessary.

1) Have a defense of at least 90

These fights were too much for me to handle at level 99. At level 99 most of
the Organization members can easily 1-hit you to a single point of HP. You
may raise your defense much higher if you want, but you don't want to
completely kill the challenge!

2) Have a reasonable amount of attack

My attack was in the low 70's. The higher it is the quicker they will fall,
but it's not nearly as important as defense. By level 99, if you used all
power ups that you received throughout the game, your attack is already plenty
sufficient

3) Do NOT overdo your Aerial recovery!

Remember that you will live ONE combo, and then you MUST heal or it is game
over! If you do a midair recovery during an attack, you will just get hit
again, it will count as a new combo, and you're toast. Wait as LONG AS IS SAFE
to recover!

4) Sometimes, Running is best

If both your party members are dead, or if you are a hit away from death with
no MP, glide around the stage until you get it back! Unfortunately there is a
large amount of fights where this option isn't available to you, but having a
cure at the ready is VERY important!

5) Stall your Curaga spell for as LONG as possible

With the exception of some of the 1-1 fights, it is perfectly safe to NOT heal
when you have as little as 2HP left. Remember: You will live a fatal attack if
you have more than 1 health. Donald may come back to life and heal you, you may
be able to squeeze in a combo before you heal. Or more importantly, you may
receive an especially damaging attack. Why is this good? Had you healed, you
would now be back to 1HP again, and with no MP no less.

6) Make sure your Curaga hits Donald at the very least!

Donald's cure spell can be the deciding factor in these fights. Make sure he is
alive to use it, but NEVER use Curaga SOLELY to revive Donald!

7) Items are a LAST RESORT

9/10 Times, that potion you tossed in the air is NEVER going to land. Keep them
only as you LAST LAST option!

8) Guard and Reflect

Unfortunately, I never used these two abilities throughout the entire game. So,
anyone who has experience on how to use these effectively, please submit it!
These two techniques significantly increase your odds of winning.

9) Limits

Again, I never used them. They make you completely invincible though, and deal
quite a bit of damage. I'm sure they are useful, I just don't know how to use
them.

And, MOST IMPORTANTLY...

8) Abuse Form Changing

I cannot stress this enough - changing form is THE MOST CRUCIAL STRATEGY when
it comes to these fights. See, whenever you change forms (to ANY form) you get
100% HP and 100%MP. Meaning, changing forms has the restorative properties of
an elixir, but it cannot be blocked once selected.

Scenarios where this is useful:

1) 1 HP, both of them are dead - Drive into Limit Form, pull off Two Limit
attacks, and then REVERT. You have full health, did two lifebars of damage,
and have the tiniest amount of MP left - but enough to cast curaga when needed.

2) 1 HP, either alive - Drive to Valor or Wisdom. Often, Final form is too
risky. In these cases, you only use 3 drive bars. IMMEDIATELY revert out.

3) Solo Fights - You have one Curaga, and Donald can't save you. The same
advantages apply to this that did to the first scenario, but in this one, you
need to focus entirely on getting your drive BACK up to 4 so you can do it once
again. At the end of the game, you have enough drive to perform this twice.

You can even form change DURING an enemy combo. If timed right, the explosion
from your form change can stun the Organization member, and allow you a free
combo. Mastery of this tactic is ultimately the most crucial strategy I have to
offer.

| | phase, you must re-start from phase I all over again. |
|___________________|_________________________________________________________|

Overview: This first phase is "easy". You must face him in the city featured in
Deep Dive. It's not too bad if you pace yourself.

-----------------------------

Special Preparations: None

-----------------------------

Attacks: For all intent and purposes, Xemnas part I has five main attacks:

Light Saber Dancing: Basically he backflips and somersaults you to death with
his lightsabers. Full Combo brings you to 1HP.

Cheap Shot: I call it this because it will kill you at low HP no
matter what. He hits you, pauses JUST long enough for his
next attack to be considered it's own "combo", and then
finishes you. You cannot recover in the middle.

Guard!: Xemnas puts up a gigantic square shield that will deflect
whatever attack you were attempting. At first he will have
long pauses between this attack and his others, but at
about 80% health he takes advantage of you being stunned
and combos you with his light sabers.

Deep Dive: Ah, what a fantastic reaction command. Sora will play
Roxas, and Xemnas will play Riku and they will come at
each other from the top and bottom of the building. You
will get three reaction commands before they clash. The
first will be neutral, and you will "miss" each other".
The second reaction command has you hitting Xemnas, and
leaves him open for an attack. The third reaction command
only is available for a VERY brief moment, and will leave
Xemnas at only 1HP! Not pressing anything at all leaves
you beaten to a pulp, with 1HP left.

Desperation Attack: Well, it's basically the same as his Light Saber Dancing
move, except the screen goes dark and you can't interrupt
it. At the end of it, you fly high in air.

-----------------------------

Strategy:

The reason this guy isn't such a problem is his attacks are easily avoided, and
it is very easy to keep your MP high.

During any of his attacks, NEVER Aerial recover until it's completely over. Do
it early and you will die. All of his attacks, save Deep Dive, will knock you
into the air upon completion, putting you at an incredibly low risk of getting
hit again.

This fight is unique in that you ALWAYS want to be ABOVE 40%-50% health to
avoid his Cheap Shot.

This boss is also remarkably slow. If you are ever out of MP, just glide around
for a few seconds to get back your MP. At about 50% he uses his desperation
attack, so at that point you should just Form Change to avoid dying. He also
randomly decides to go for a stroll, and will just pace around for about 5-8
seconds (unless you are close to him).

Your major strategy will be to attack him from the air, as he has trouble
hitting you up there. His attacks are all very easily broken, and if you land
2 or 3 hits, he will stagger. Each full combo should do about 2 bars of damage.

When he uses deep dive, just run to the building, and reaction command the
SECOND choice. It's very easy to do. You will know he's doing it because an
electric diamond thing will surround Sora.

When he starts using his desperation attack and you are forced to use limit
form, make sure you either use L1+Square or L1+Circle twice to take off A LOT
of life. Then revert to be able to heal again. I prefer L1+Circle.

My best advice is to be patient and keep yourself healthy. You may end up doing
this fight 100 times because of dying in...

|Other Notes | You fight this boss with Riku, just like at the end-game|
|___________________|_________________________________________________________|

Overview:

This is much harder than the last fight. Xemnas hurts A LOT, is very hard to
hit and his attacks are very difficult to avoid. Dying also sets you back to
Phase I, which is incredibly frustrating.

-----------------------------

Special Preparations:

Armor that favors defense is important for yourself. Riku needs as high
defense as you can afford, because he needs to both be alive and constantly at
high health. I decked him out with Elixirs. I recommend it, but if you don't
have any, use high potions.

-----------------------------

Attacks: He has a lot. Here are the most important ones

We Go Together: You are flung high into the air, where you are subjected
to dark streams of pain and Xemnas's teleporting light
sabre extravaganza. He may use this often.

Double Gravity: Xemnas shoots two massive spheres at you; the first will
stop short in front of you, and the second tries to hit
                     you.

Dark Stream: If you break Xemnas' Double Gravity by hitting him, he
often stops your combo by blasting you with streams of
dark energy. He will usually go back to Double Gravity
                     afterwards.

Laser Spread: Basically, Xemnas (sometimes two of them) teleport all over
the place firing lasers at you. Its nearly impossible to
do anything about, and lasts a very long time.

Gravity Drain: This move can be very bad news. Sora gets locked in a ball
of gravity, and you must play as Riku and attempt to free
him. The square button fires dark energy. The X button
jumps, and the circle button attacks.

Desperation Attack: The good news is you win after this attack. The bad news
is it is a very tiring attack. Essentially, you are
surrounded by a sphere of lasers, and must deflect them.
It lasts a very very very long time.

-----------------------------

Strategy:

This is not an easy fight. You will die many times in attempting to beat him.
With patience and a lot of luck you will do just fine.

Every hit from Xemnas will take off roughly half of your health. For this
reason its imperative to keep your HP as high as absolutely possible. Do NOT
let your health fall low, or you're out. Remember: Form abuse!

When he flings you in the air and says "We shall go together", just start
bashing the triangle button. You will almost always get hit by his first volley
of attacks, bringing you to half health, but you should be able to dodge the
rest through the action command ("Reversal"). Do NOT stop hitting triangle
until you fall back to the ground. In short, you will never manage to get a
combo going, Xemnas will teleport behind you, and it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to
heal while he does this attack. Just dodge it until it finishes.

To dodge his Double Gravity attack, glide in a circle. You need to spiral
inwards towards him. When you do start to hit him, on your 2nd or 3rd hit, he
will respond by shooting his Dark Stream. So, when you break his Double Gravity
make sure you are bashing triangle to "reversal" it. You will almost
definitely still be hit by the attack and lose half your health, but you can
get a combo in on him.

If you change to Limit to heal, Use L1+Circle if he is doing his Double
Gravity, otherwise use L1+Square. Then, of course, revert.

The fight gets sticky when he starts using his Laser Spread. He essentially
teleports around the arena firing homing lasers at you. If you jump or glide,
they will follow. Its pointless to try to attack Xemnas while he does this, he
simply moves too fast to hit. It's pointless to cast reflega, as you will still
be recovering when the next volley hits you. The best thing to do is try to
dash/dodge roll right before the lasers hit. You will inevitably be injured,
and will need to heal. Luckily, the lasers don't hurt very badly, and you
should be able to regain MP before another heal is needed.

Now then, the WORST possible attack is his Gravity Drain. You will encounter
this AT LEAST once, and you should pray ONLY once. Sora becomes incapacitated
and is constantly losing health. Rapidly. Worse yet, Riku CANNOT heal himself,
CANNOT change forms to heal, and his moves are NOT very useful. If Sora or Riku
were at low health when this move initiated, you have already lost. As long you
keep a distance between yourself and the Xemnas image that is attacking you, he
will use Double Gravity, which is VERY hard to dodge, and will kill Riku in
just two hits. Stay as CLOSE to the Xemnas image as possible. When he starts
approaching you (To use "Guard!" from his last fight), hit square and fire your
dark energy at him. Then walk towards Sora for a few seconds, then dark energy.
Continue this pattern until you are very close to Sora. To break this attack,
you use TRIANGLE you DO NOT JUMP AND HIT! With any luck, you will make it
through this attack alive.

If you lived the previous attack, you are very close to winning the fight. Get
Xemnas down to his last health bar and he will use an attack that find you and
Riku are surrounded by a sphere of lasers. You must then bash the Triangle
button so that Riku deflects the lasers, and the Circle button so that Sora
deflects the lasers. You will do this for a very long while. Once you survive,
a short scene pursues, and upon its completion, you have a free shot at
finishing the boss.

Overview:

This fight is one of the easiest Organization fights, as he is easily broken,
and has no real threatening moves.
-----------------------------

Special Preparations: High defense armor. That's all you need.

-----------------------------

Attacks: In the case of Xigbar, he truly has only two that matter.

Sharp Shooting: Xigbars attacks all consist of him teleporting or standing
still while shooting you. Sometimes he changes the land
before doing so. The important thing is there are many
                     lasers constantly flying around.

Desperation Attack: You are stuck in a little square and get berated by
                     hundreds of lasers.

-----------------------------

Strategy:

This fight is just plain simple.

From the very start go to final form. It only takes two and a half combos to
finish him off, and the first two are very easy to get off. If you need to heal
do so. After your two combos succeed (which is about 20 seconds into the fight)
he will start his desperation attack.

There is really no dodging this attack. If you are low on HP and won't be
getting your MP back any time soon, just revert so Donald can heal you. Then,
when the lasers hit you back to 1HP, your MP will be back, so heal yourself.
You will be at good health, and by the time you are knocked back down, you will
have enough Drive to go back to Final Form. He will have finished his attacks,
and you need to do half a combo and you've won.

Overview:

Just like the first iteration of this boss, either you find it very easy or
incredibly difficult. He is, however, predictable, so after reading about his
patterns you should be just fine.
-----------------------------

Special Preparations: High defense armor.

-----------------------------

Attacks: Most of his attacks are very similar, though the most important are:

Energy Attack: Xaldin opens with this strange energy projectile attack.
He fires a volley of homing energy blasts that take away
                     half your health.

Spear Attacks: They are too similar to bother differentiating them. He
in someway or another lunges at you with his spears. You
will have reaction commands available for you during these

Spear Rain: Spears just keep falling from the sky at you

Desperation Attack: He runs all over the place attacking with his spears. Then
Xaldin links his spears and rides them like a dragon into
the background, where he fires a stream of wind at you.

-----------------------------

Strategy:

This fight starts easy and ends incredibly difficult. Your overall objective
is to get three Final Form combos on him. The first two are a breeze.

The main thing to keep in mind is that you cannot begin a combo on Xaldin until
you have "learned" his spear attack. So do NOT just go attacking him.

Xaldin always opens up with his Energy Attack. So start the fight by driving to
Final Form. Jump into Xaldin while he prepares his spell. Since his barrier is
down, you will get off your first combo without a problem.

He is now at about 2/3rds health. At this time your main strategy is (believe
it or not) to walk by him while still in Final Form and bash the Triangle
button. Don't be super-close to him or anything, just walk by him. He will try
to hit you with some spear attack or another, and since you are bashing
triangle, you will learn it. Next simply press Attack over and over again. You
will teleport above him and dive on him for as many times as you "learned" his
spear attacks, then combo him. You will get cut off by his desperation attack.

For the beginning of his desperation attack, just glide around (you should
still have plenty of final form left). When he rides into the background and
shoots his stream of wind, just jump over it. You won't make it over the stream
but you will also not take very much damage.

When this is done, you will want to be CONSTANTLY pressing triangle while
dodging his attacks. You will most likely get knocked to 1HP during this
process. Do not be surprised if you find yourself at 1HP, recharging MP, with
both party members dead. Just go to Limit form and do a few L1+Circle attacks
and revert.

Xaldin will almost ALWAYS follow up with another desperation attack. It is
very important you hold off your healing until AFTER its through, even at 1HP.
As normal Sora, you CAN jump over his wind stream. Besides that, you can dodge
roll straight *through it*. However, Donald and Goofy will die in it. Heal your
party, and if you have 5 drive bars, go to Final Form and walk around bashing
triangle until you learn some attacks, then mash attack and finish him off. If
not, continue the previous pattern until you have them.

Do not be surprised if you have to use potions during this fight. Xaldin has a
very long delay between attacks, so you will have ample time to do so. The speed
of your victory depends on your timing in healing your party so that you can
transform. The average life of your party during the Desperation section of
this fight is about 1 second, So drive IMMEDIATELY after healing.

-Unconfirmed-

Apparently, you can completely avoid damage by bashing Guard and Triangle, to
both Learn and not get hit. Very useful if it works!

Also, his desperation attack can be avoided with reflect?

|Other Notes | Vexen summons Anti-Sora to attack you during the fight |
|___________________|_________________________________________________________|

Overview:

This boss seemed completely impossible for a while, due to Anti-Sora bringing
you to 1HP during your combos. However, he is very beatable if done correctly.
-----------------------------

Special Preparations: High defense armor, Ice protection is a plus.

-----------------------------

Attacks: He has very few attacks, though he doesn't need very many

Summon Anti-Sora: There is a little circle underneath you the entire fight
that fills the "data" bar as long you stand in it. When it
reaches 1, Vexen summons Anti-Sora. As the gauge continues
to rise (Max: 5), Anti-Sora becomes more and more powerful

Freeze!: Vexen charges for a bit, then freezes you in an icicle.
Just bash the Triangle button until you get out.

Stalagmite: Thats the one that comes from the ground. Vexen's main
attack, he just keep summoning stalagmites to impale you.

Desperation Attack: He surrounds himself with ice, fires it at you, and after
a while a VERY large chunk of ice impales you from the
                     ground (Rarely ever used).

Anti-Sora: Uses all of Anti-Sora's moves.
-----------------------------

Strategy:

The most important thing to keep in mind when it comes to this fight is that
Anti-Sora is unavoidable, and will come back no matter how many times you kill
him. So don't even bother dancing around the "data" circle or trying to kill
him, its not worth your time.

The other special thing about this boss is his shield, it is only destroyed by
finishers, and will be quickly regenerated back upon being broken. You cannot
damage Vexen until you have broken it,

You should start the fight by going to Final Form. It only takes 2-3 combos to
finish him off.

You should find it relatively easy to do break his shield and get your first
combo off on him. By the time you finish, Anti-Sora will have appeared and be
attacking you.

The main difficulty of this fight is that when you try to finisher the shield,
from this point out, you are generally stopped during your combo by stalagmites
or a renegade Anti-Sora.

However, there is a way to avoid both, break his shield, combo him, AND kill
Anti-Sora.

First, lock onto Anti-Sora. Next, in Final Form, jump and start attacking the
air, staying close to Vexen. Don't stand in one place, circles around Vexen
is a good plan. Now, since you are in the air, your Final Form is protecting
you from Vexens attacks, and since you are locked onto Anti-Sora, if he comes
close he will get whacked. When you feel you are nearing your aerial finisher,
move into Vexen. Your finisher will instantly shatter his shield, and you will
be rapidly draining his health. STAY LOCKED ONTO ANTI-SORA. Normally it's at
this point that Anti-Sora hits you from behind and stops your combo. However,
since you are locked onto him, he gets hit and dragged into your combo, and
will usually die by the time it finishes.

Do the above once more, and another Organization member is down for the count.

Overview:

This boss gets real hard real fast if you don't move fast. Speed is the entire
deciding factor.
-----------------------------

Special Preparations: High defense armor.

-----------------------------

Attacks: Lexaeus' attacks can even break finishers, so be careful

Power up!: Lexaeus charges up for a bit, and his attack power goes up

Physical Attack: Well, he basically attempts to smack you with his tomahawk,
and afterwards the ground shatters and a reaction command
                     appears

Ruined Earth: Basically he shatters the ground and causes an upheaval. He
                     normally does this numerous times.

Denied #1: Lexaeus deflects your attack, slams you into the ground,
and then the earth shatters below you.

Denied #2: You are deflected and slammed into a pillar

Desperation Attack: Lexaeus flies off screen, charges across the screen, then
there is an enormous upheaval that fills the screen.

-----------------------------

Strategy:

As long as you are efficient and quick, this fight is very easy. However, act
too slowly and it's all but impossible.

The important thing to remember is if you successfully invoke a reaction
command after his physical attack, you get a free combo. He only can live about
three, so these are incredibly valuable.

When the fight starts, Lexaeus can barely do any damage. Go to Final Form.

The main strategy is hit him with GROUND combos. Circle Lexaeus, keeping
maximum possible range while attacking him. Eventually (and usually quickly),
he will use his Physical Attack, allowing you to use a reaction command. Since
you are in Final Form, if you are in mid-attack, you will miss the command. If
you are in mid-attack, DO NOT STOP PRESSING ATTACK! You don't want to stop your
combo AND miss a command, that would waste too much time. Normally, you can get
away with finishing your combo anyways, so don't be hasty. Either way, the boss
will be temporarily invincible after your combo so that he can power up.

Lexaeus will start using Ruined Earth, so just do your best to avoid it while
continuing your attacking circles. Again, either you will combo him or reaction
command him, and then combo him. Either is fine.

After your second time he will power up to around 60,000. You can beat him
while he is at this attack power, and you best, because any higher and it will
become insane. Around this time you may be out of Final Form. Hold off on any
heal spells for a second, because now Lexaeus will use his desperation attack.

Lexaeus will use his desperation attack. Do NOT try and dodge it. Get hit by it
and fill your drive gauge up to 5 again. Now use your heal spell and get
everybody healed. If you have 5 gauge bars, go to final, repeat the same
strategy and win. If you don't, get off as many cheap shots as you can, and get
hit a bit, and it won't take long to get 5 bars.

If you are too slow, Lexaeus will power up to 99,999 attack power. At this
point everything will bring you to 1HP. You might as well give up in my
opinion, as its senseless to try when you can just try again and go a bit
faster. If you want a challenge though, by all means, go for it.

Overview:

This is a trippy fight that can be really frustrating. Its very hard to die
though, which is why I rated it so low.

-----------------------------

Special Preparations: High defense armor. Remove some combo pluses if you would
like your job to be a bit easier.

-----------------------------

Attacks: Zexion's attacks are all very strange, so be prepared

Uuuh..Book!: Zexion turns you or a party member into a book. Yes. This
attack is Zexion's sole attack while on Destiny Islands.

Book Again!: In the book world, you are again turned into a book. This
time, you rapidly lose health. Just bash triangle.

Command Book: Your command menu turns into a book. You press triangle to
flip the pages. Various things happen depending on what
you select in the menu. Below is a chart I've constructed
that tells you what happens when you click each item.

Rapid Explosion: Zexion creates explosions over and over wherever you may
                     be

Book Wall: Zexion creates a wall with the "Fake" books and pushes
                     them at you.

Book Tornado: Zexion creates a tornado of books, with him in the middle

Desperation Attack: Three spotlights appear, two red one blue and they rotate.
If you are in a red circle when they stop spinning, you
are pelted with meteors. If you are in a blue circle, you
get a free combo at the boss.

-----------------------------

Strategy:

This boss has very little health and very low defense, so he goes down fairly
quick. The problem is you spend so much time in the "Book World" you don't have
many opportunities.

Never try to free your friends if they are turned into books. About 50% of the
time they get residual damage from your combo anyways, and end up being set
free.

From the start, just combo Zexion until he turns you into a book. Once in the
book world, all you have to do is keep hitting books until you find him, get
rid of his HP and then hit triangle. If Zexion turns your command menu into a
book, I find it effective to stand still, bash circle and continuously press
up. Eventually you will be free. Don't bother changing form or anything once
free, just start hitting books until you find him. This first time it is easy.

If, while in the book world, you get turned into a book AGAIN, you lucked out.
Keep hitting triangle, even AFTER you break free, and you will charge at
Zexion, destroying his book and returning to Destiny Islands.

Anyways, your second trip and any subsequent trips to the book world are a bit
more deadly. You never are really in danger of dying, just make sure when he
uses Rapid Explosion that you DO NOT aerial recover until the very end.

If he uses his spotlight attack, there is a 2/3 chance you now have 1HP, and a
1/3 chance you just won.

If he uses his Book Tornado, let yourself fall down the middle of it, then
combo him and press triangle.

Essentially, you should stall until Book Tornado, Book Again or his spotlight
move as these are all easy to kill him with. Once you return to Destiny Island,
finish him off.

 --------------------------

"Zexion's desparation move (the spotlight game), you can try to stand
between 2 lights, and dodge roll if one of the two to your sides is the one
(which you can see by looking at the circle. usually the right one has a
white circle around it just before the meteors fall), and use a quick run
when it's the farthest one. You probably make it in time (but goofy and
Donald won't >_<)
For some clarification:

X X=The farthest light. Quick Run if you see the white
                         circle here.
O= The two close ones. Can be reached by dodge
                          rolling.
O S O S= Sora's good placement to reach the lights in time."

I've received an email that states that Zexion's desperation attack can be
reflected to negate the damage.

Overview:

Timing is everything in this fight. After a few tries, it shouldn't seem that
bad.
-----------------------------

Special Preparations: High defense armor. A few less combos wouldn't hurt.

-----------------------------

Attacks: Saïx attacks are all insane and unbreakable.

Shine Down!: Saïx begins to charge his berserk meter

Be Gone!: Saïx dashes about, creating X-shaped laser waves in the
ground, shouts "Be gone!" and tosses a claymore straight
                     down.

Move Aside!: Saïx goes crazy, dashing and creating large circular
laser waves, shouts "Move Aside!" and throws his claymore
                     at you.

Desperation Attack: Talkative fellow this Saïx is. Saïx will shout "All shall
be lost to you!" and will do his "Move Aside!" move many
times in a row, WITHOUT throwing his claymore. He may also
mix in some of his "Be gone!" attack, again WITHOUT
                     throwing his claymore.

-----------------------------

Strategy:

This boss is super easy until his last two health bars. But it is also very
hard to die in this fight, hence the lower rating.

Do NOT transform for this fight. Start off by immediately performing a combo
on Saïx. You should be able to get off two. The reason for not transforming is
you need to get to your finisher BEFORE Saïx fills his berserk gauge, otherwise
he becomes invincible. Final Form takes forever to get to it's finisher.

When Saïx becomes berserk, he uses two moves. Both are easily dodged by either
jumping or gliding.

The catch is, in order to stop berserk mode, you must catch his claymore and
hit him with it, which is no easy task. There are only two moves that give you
a chance to do this.

If Saïx uses Be Gone!, simply jump towards him near it's conclusion. You will
jump over the shock waves, and since he throws it straight down, you will land
on top of it. Immediately press triangle.

If Saïx uses Move Aside!, glide into a corner. He will toss his claymore not at
you but at the ground. So just stop gliding, and upon hitting the ground bash
triangle.

Once you have a claymore in hand, you are invincible. You only have a few
seconds with it before it disapears, and it takes a short while before the
reaction command to USE the claymore appears. The important thing is, even if
Saïx is in the middle of an attack, walk straight up to his face and press
triangle. You will beat him with his Claymore, and it will break his berserk
status. Follow up with as many combos as you can.

At this point Saïx starts using his desperation attack. Just glide around to
dodge it. Eventually you may need to heal, and if matters get out of hand, you
will have full drive gauge to do a limit/revert. Don't bother using any limit
commands.

Once desperation attacks begin, Saïx will perform his two important attacks
much less frequently, and will often follow them up by going berserk all over
again, making your clayborn useless. Just keep trying until you finally land
that perfect shot.

Make sure to get a clean combo off, and Saïx should be toast.

  ---------------------------
 /USER SUBMITTED STRATEGIES /
 --------------------------

"After Saix says "Cane you feel it? The Moon's power," and turns around, head
up to him and do Stride Break to kick him out of going Berserk. After he drops
down, repeat. Repeat this until he gets close to Berserk. Do a a complete
Finisher Combo. SB->Explosion->SB. This whole thing should take out about 3-5
lifebars. Dash or Glide away immediately when he flies up and says "Moon Shine
Down!" He should be pretty desperate right now.Just High Jump->Aerial Dodge->
Glide around to dodge his Desperation Attack. If you lose life, just use
Curaga in the air, and then glide around until his stops. When half his
Berserk Gauge goes out, that's when he sits down and stops to Recharge. Use an
Ether, and get close. Start Reflega-ing. Pick up any Claymores that come your
way and attack him. If he does Move Aside!, do as he tells you, and MOVE
ASIDE. Grab the Claymore and Reaction Command you go. Alternative: Guard his
Claymore toss. If he does Be Gone! Just Reflega it. Only things left to say
are to attack him when he's vulnerable and not Berserk. Which you always do,
 right?"
                                                                   -Simon Li

"Ok, this guy is a moon fanboy. Whenever he trys to rise up his berserk bar,
just use Magnera or Magnega or what have you, and he will stop charging. Hit
him, keep doing this until he eventually becomes berserk. When he does, go to
final. you are invincible when you jump with Final Form, making him really
easy. Whenever he goes, "STOP! STOP!" and then attacks you saying "LUNAR!",
when he starts to say Lunar, jump. The thrown weapon now is on the floor
waiting for you to pick it up. Hit him with it, then attack him. Rince and
repeat the magnet strategy. Don't hit him with magnet while hes in berserk
charge with a red glowing head. He will just get pissed. That's about as much
as I could decifer, he was pretty hard for me."
                                                                    -Skyos

Overview:

This was the second to last Limited Cut Organization member I beat, because it
took a while before I realized you can stop the terrible life draining effects
-----------------------------

Special Preparations: High defense armor. Fire resistance if you'd like.

-----------------------------

Attacks: Believe it or not, it doesn't matter

-----------------------------

Strategy:

This boss is simple if you use this strategy.

1) Wait for axel to fill the stage with flames
2) Attack him until you are about to die
3) Go to limit form
4) Use L1+Circle
5) Axel will jump out of the arena. Keep bashing triangle until you have pinned
   Axel down to the floor
6) Stay in limit form. Combo Axel. Continue to combo him until he fills the
   stage with flames again
7) Repeat Step 4-7

You will run low on health at precisely the moment you run out of form. Go to
limit form again, and you will have your health back. Continue with whatever
step you were on.

Overview:

This fight is painfully simple as long you make the proper preparations.
-----------------------------

Special Preparations: High defense armor. Unequip ALL combo boosts of any kind.
Change out the Ultimate Weapon for Fenrir. Equip any
Minus Combos you may have. Unequip all finishers except
for Explosion. Replace one or two high potions with some
ethers. If done right, you should IMMEDIATLY use your
                      finisher when hitting attack.

-----------------------------

Attacks: Only one attack matters at all.

Dance, Water, Dance: Demyx starts the fight with this, and will use it 2-3 more
times during the course of the battle. You must destroy
his minions within 30 seconds or die.

-----------------------------

Strategy:

The trick to this boss is careful management of your drive gauge.

Follow these simple rules to beat his "Dance, water, Dance!" attack:

1) If there are a number of minions LOWER than 50, stay as Sora and spam
   explosion to kill them.

2) As soon as 50+ minions appear, change to wisdom form and spam Firaga.

The first time he uses this move (when you start the fight), DO NOT use ethers.
If you run out of MP, just revert and re-transform. If you beat the secret boss
then you will have THREE transformations using this method, if not two is still
sufficient.

After you topple his first iteration of this attack, he may use it twice more
before his Desperation version. If he does, it is always a low number, and easy
to do as Sora. You should be taking very little damage from Demyx, and should
also be getting drive back very rapidly. DO NOT transform to heal yourself. If
for some reason you are dying, just use a potion. You need your drive.

When Demyx gets to under 2 bars, he will use his desperation version of "Dance,
Water, Dance!". Even if you get Demyx down to 1HP and hit him with a finisher,
he will NOT die until after he uses this attack.

Essentially it is the same as the first, so follow the rules I mentioned before.
However, the after going through the original wave of minions like he did in
the first iteration, he will conclude with a 99-minion quota. Ouch. Luckily,
the method remains the same: spam Firaga. Time is of the essence, so if using
an ether will be faster then revert<>retransform, do it. I personally did not
ever use ethers. You should make it with about 1 second to spare. Yes it is
close, but you will consistently make it with 1 second, so don't sweat it.

|___________________|_________________________________________________________|

Overview:

This fight is really bizarre. It's not quite entirely based on luck, but it is
not quite entirely based on skill either. It's hard because it is so random.
-----------------------------

Special Preparations: High defense armor.

-----------------------------

Attacks: He has a lot, but the ones to watch out for are:

A Challenge?: Your menu turns into all X's with a single O cycling
through it. Click the O to lower Luxord's "Time" and
cause many health bubbles to appear. If you click an X you
will get turned into a die (as in, singular of dice), or
ignore the challenge completely to lose half your health.
HOWEVER! If you fly REALLY far away, the attack won't
even hit you! (Thanks to Anonyme2006)

Watch Closely: Luxord will turn into a card and shuffle himself in with
numerous other cards. Pick a blank card to get MP. Pick a
fireball card and it explodes. Picking a Time card should
affect time gauges, though it doesn't seem to.

A Challenge?#2: Same as before, except losing turns you into a card.

Desperation Attack: Luxord dances around picking up cards and throwing/hitting
you with them. Then, you will be surrounded by cards, and
your menu changes to a cycling series of X and O's. You
must select the "O" four times in a row, with each time
becoming progressively harder. Succeed and you will win.
If you fail, Luxord receives A LOT of time, and you lose
                     quite a bit.

-----------------------------

Strategy:

This boss drives me crazy. You will learn all his games and will begin to hate
them.

If you can time his "A Challenge?" move consistently, this match is in the bag
for you.

Since I always turn into a die and get slaughtered, I ignore his game and just
take the damage. I squeeze in as many combos as humanly possible until finally
he moves on to his second phase, where he uses "watch closely".

You may die many times if you try to do it my way - just keep at it, you just
need to knock his "time" down low enough for him to move on.

Whether you can do it the "real" way or are forced to do it my way, once you
reach the second phase life becomes MUCH easier.

Luxord's "Watch Closely" move is very easy - just remember you have plenty of
time to do it, so don't foolishly be pressing triangle. You should be able to
always correctly pick his card without much effort. After a few rounds of that
game, his health will either be critical or very close.

Now Luxord begins his desperation attack. Simply glide around and wait for him
to surround you with cards. As far as I know this next part has infinite time
for you to pick the right card. The first three "O" are very easy to land. The
last one always got me until I discovered a wonderful trick: For the last one,
try to get an X. Everytime I have pressed it on the "X", it has landed on the
"O". Consistently.

If you mess up, Luxord gets back a lot of "time", and you have to go through
the process again. If you succeed, you either win on the spot, or win directly
after when you combo him.

  ---------------------------
 /USER SUBMITTED STRATEGIES /
 --------------------------

"not only winning his games makes his time bar sink faster, but also dealing
right with his cards. white cards/cards with numbers on them: turn them with
the reaction command to make his time sink. attacking them makes soras timebar
sink faster. cards with red circle: attack them to make his time sink. turning
them with the reaction command makes soras timebar sink faster. knowing about
this, luxords battle only requires a few tries."
                                                         -Kerzenmann

"Equip Fenrir and Combo Minus.
Turn off all Combo Pluses and Air Combo Pluses. Turn off Aerial Finisher.
The main theme of this strategy lies within the cheapness of Magnet Splash.
I just came up with this randomly on my own. Some others may have known this
already. But whatever.
Go and battle Luxord.

Start the battle.

"The first to run out of time is the loser."
And then he challenges you.

Jump and finisher smack him from the air to knock him out.
Now glide away to put some distance between the two of you.
Now jump, and tap O to grab him in. Drop down and repeat till you hit him with
a third magnet splash.
He flips and counters with some cards flying. In that moment after using the
MS, glide away and destroy the cards with a Magnet Splash and just repeat till
he does the next step.

Now once he does the look closely you have two choices.
Get in the middle and use Explosion on all of them or Magnet Splash from the
air. Do this to all three versions of this attack.

Repeat all this till he does his Desperation Move.
Get the first three Os and try for an X on the last one.
It's really fast, but getting X will work much better than trying for an O.
This is stated in the original strategy. If you fail, just hang around as the
die till he does his D Move again. Try to win it. After you slap him in his
face with cards, then just finisher him and he dies."
                                                      -darkfullmetal@gmail.com

Overview:

This fight is really easy. I'm sorry if someone out there finds this fight
particularly troubling, but this was the first fight I completed, and it's just
disgraceful for Marluxia
-----------------------------

Special Preparations: High defense armor.

-----------------------------

Attacks: There's a few, which I will list, though I don't think it's necessary.

Three Circles: Marluxia creates three black circles of death on the
ground. They hurt real bad if you touch them

Teleporting Slash: Marluxia teleports around slashing you

Desperation Attack: Very strange...Marluxia sort of sinks half way into the
ground and spins his scythe in quick circles. Think Gorons
                     rolling around.

-----------------------------

Strategy:

I've re-fought this fight a few times to see if maybe I'm missing something,
but I think it is just plain easy.

99 hits is quite a few hits. I don't think I have ever gone lower than 40.

If that weren't enough, some hits don't even affect your HP, only your
remaining number.

Anyways, just go to Final Form, do a short hop and start attacking the air. Try
to hit him while doing so, and when your finisher starts, he will get stunned.
Many of her attacks also get interrupted by normal hits.

Overall, if you make sure you jump first you avoid the three circles attack,
and his desperation attack is just pathetic. Just glide over it. You should be
able to beat Marluxia just by tanking him to death without even coming CLOSE to
losing.

Overview:

Larxene truly is just cruel. Her attacks are relentless and devastating. The
victory here relies almost entirely on good dodge rolls and VERY efficient use
of healing and form abuse. Thank god she has so few health bars.
-----------------------------

Special Preparations: High defense armor. Lightning resistance is a MUST!
-----------------------------

Attacks: There are many and they all hurt.

Endless Thundaga: Larxene calls thunder from the sky over and over. She will
not stop until you hit her.

Cross Slash: Larxene giggles, splits herself into four, assembles at
four corners of the stage, and each fly across, making an
                     "X".

Horizontal Sweep: Larxene splits herself into 5 or 6, assemble at one side
of the stage, and darts across the length of the stage.

Teleporting Slash: Basically, Larxene and her insane amount of clones teleport
behind you, above you, or even in front of you and start
                     slashing you.

Thundaja: The screen goes dark as if she were to use a desperation
attack, but instead she splits herself into...a lot...and
they all proceed to hit you numerous times. Afterwards,
they teleport into the sky, and a second later, a single
Larxene flies down from the sky, riding a gigantic thunder
                     bolt.

Desperation Attack: Larxene moves to the center of the stage and shoots
cross-shaped lightning energy around herself and rotates
it. If this weren't enough, lightning rains from the sky
while this attack takes place. When she's done, she
splits into four and darts to the corners of the stage.

-----------------------------

Strategy:

Let me just say I hate this fight.

Make sure you boost your lightning resistance as high as you can. I managed to
get it to 80%, and it made the fight VERY doable. Without it, I'm not sure I
could have won. With 80%, her lightning attacks become ignorable.

Larxene starts the fight with her Endless Thundaga, and your mission is to get
over there and hit her ASAP to stop the nonsense. Don't bother casting
reflega, it won't end up helping.

The key for me in winning this fight was her exceptionally low health. This
means Final Form rushing her works very well.

Dash at her from the start, and while you are directly in front of her, use
heal (since both your party members are by this time dead), and immediately
drive to Final Form. This should disrupt her thunder attacks, and you should be
able to get a combo off. You should notice at this point she is basically two
combos from death.

With your high lightning resistance, if she starts casting thunder spells you
should be able to just shrug it off. If she manages to get you with any of her
many flavors of teleporting slashes, you will probably have 1HP left.

Remember: Just two more combos. Do your best to get a second combo off before
you hit critical health. If you have 1HP and don't have MP yet, you have no
choice but to drive down and let Donald throw a heal at you.

Try your best to get immediately back into Final Form. All her organized slash
attacks (Cross slash, horizontal sweep) are blocked if you are gliding towards
her or jumping.

Once you get another combo off, she will start her desperation attack. Since it
is entirely lightning based, its no sweat. Just glide in circles, and aerial
recovery whenever you are hit by stray bolts. Try to stay in a corner, as when
she is done, that is where one of "her" will be.

You would think this is your opportunity, but after you start bashing one of
her, the others will tackle you. Just keep trying, and you should be able to
get her to two bars.

At this point, she starts moving too frantically for Final Form to be of any
good use, so drive into Limit Form as soon as you can. Wait until she isn't
using a move where she is invincible, and hit her with two L1+Circles, and you
will have taken her out.

 /USER SUBMITTED STRATEGIES /

"First, use reflega twice quickly! then, start giving her some combos, when you
do a finisher, she'll counter with a lightning attack, use reflect again. when
she start making a duplicate, use reflega or reflect when she disappear. almost
all attack can be blocked with guard when she's with her duplicate. when she's
doing the desperation attack, use the same strategy by gliding around.."

"Larxene is extremely weak to Limit Form's strike raid (L1 + square). As it can
hit each one of her clones for additional damage, it gets her hp down REALLY
fast. (As in she was at around 50% of her health, and i hit her and a group
of clones with it twice and she was dead.)"
                                                                 -Anonyme2006

"okay - i totally disagree with you on that battle. quote: "don't bother
casting reflega. it won't end up helping." reflega is the very spell that made
me winning this fight. to be honest, i had no idea how to win this fight
without that spell. since larxenes attacks hurt plenty, spamming reflega throws
back so much damage that she always loses 1-2 hp bars. plus you get a free
combo after she got hit by reflega. i kept casting it and used form change to
refill the mp. when i made it to her last hp-bar, i waited for the knockback
of reflega, and finished her off."
                                                                  -Kerzenmann

Overview:

I found this fight nearly impossible, though those who have read my FAQ are
very quick to tell me how easy this fight actually is. I am NOT very skilled
with Guard/Counter Guard, and perhaps that is my problem. After my own advice,
I have user-submitted advice of course that supposedly makes this "easy".

-----------------------------

Special Preparations: High defense armor.
-----------------------------

Attacks: Here are the important ones:

Duel: You and Roxas speed by each other, but as you pass the
screen slows down. Your menu turns to four "?"s, and you
will have a split second to select the action that will
appear in one of the four slots. Failing brings you to
1HP. Succeed, and something awesome happens.

Release Energy: Roxas bundles himself up, then stretches out, releasing
                     a large shockwave of energy.

Nobody Lasers: Roxas will make various patterns of lasers with Nobody
symbols crowned upon them, and send them flying in all
                     directions, or directly at you.

Keyblade Combos: Roxas has all kinds of keyblade combos, both aerial and
ground. They can easily bring you to 1HP.

Desperation Attack: Roxas uses this regardless of his HP. Roxas will jump to
the center of the arena and surround himself with
gigantic Nobody lasers. He will then spin his keyblades
frantically while sending balls of light at you.

-----------------------------

Strategy:

This fight is tough. Roxas is very hard to combo, very hard to squeeze cures
into, and completely unpredictable. His lasers are dodged mainly with luck.

Form abuse is important, and when you are forced to go to Limit Form, make
sure to get some L1+Circle attacks in on Roxas. Most of them will hit. Be
careful though; it isn't a rare occurrence for you to drive-down only to be
back at 1HP.

When Roxas moves, he cannot be hit. He sorta submerges into the ground and
becomes a beam of light.

Victory is essentially guaranteed if you can succeed in Roxas' Duel reaction
command. The problem is getting it to occur. As far as I can tell, you can
trigger the command by attacking Roxas while he is a beam of light, but you
have to time it so that you "hit" before he turns back into himself. I don't
want to say what happens when you succeed because it's just so cool, but if
you do, just beat Roxas into the ground.

I'm going to assume you never get this command or never succeed.

Start the fight by moving backwards to avoid Roxas' release of energy. DO NOT
jump to start combos, because Roxas will almost always jump at you and bring
you to 1HP. Dodge rolling and attacking can work well, as can just trying to
attack and break through his attacks. Any way you do it, you need to be
constantly aware of your health and drive, because no health, no MP and no
Limit form will be your demise.

NEVER AERIAL RECOVER FROM HIS COMBOS! Just let yourself get 0wned, then heal
upon landing. Sometimes you can squeeze in potions at the end of his attacks,
though about 40% of the time you'll just get murdered.

If Roxas uses his desperation attack and you have lost even the smallest
amount of health, immediately heal. The attack takes a LONG time, and you will
have regained most of your mana back at it's conclusion. To dodge this attack,
just wait until he's about to fire and glide in a circle around him. Easy.

When Roxas is firing his lasers is your best chance to combo, though you will
usually hit a laser, get stunned, and get combo'd yourself. Esentially, you
will just keep trying until you get enough combos in that Roxas has 2-3 bars
of health left. Again, if you ever are fortunate enough to get his reaction
command and succeed in it, you have basically won.

Once Roxas is low on HP, wait until you are dying, Limit Form and finish him
with L1+Circle.

In the end, this fight is the ultimate test in how skilled you are in curing
and Form Abuse to get your MP/HP back. Do this one as one of your last fights
to get some experience under your belt, and you should be able to manage a
victory, albeit it will be difficult.

 /USER SUBMITTED STRATEGIES /
 --------------------------

I have received many e-mails that say Roxas is very vulnerable to both reflect
and guard, and that skillful use of these makes the fight simple. Here is the
clearest strategy submitted:

"Hey I don't know if this is really correct or not because I've never fought
Roxas in critical mode... I mean the one in the secret area. Roxas has 4
Offensive moves. His basic one is stalling and unleashes his keyblades in a
whirlwind. To counter it you only need to use reflect and it would damage
him so once hes damaged keep on attacking. His second attack is the combo
hits. This is fairly easy to dodge since you use guard on his first 3 hits,
guard again and when he uses his finishing dash guard again and use guard
counter. It would stun him and damage him so keep on attacking again. His 3rd
attack is Jump and slash down. Guard and immediately guard counter again and
attack him. His fourth attack is a bit rare but just try to guard it the best
you can. Finally his desperation attack... just lock onto him and dodge roll
to one side.. left or right. Just one note... I found Roxas a bit predictable
because when he stalls hes going to use the whirlwind slash... if he flashes
around he might use the combo slash or whirlwind slash which you might have
to guard and immediately use reflect. When he jumps you should know hes going
to use the down slash and when he floats around hes going to use his keyblades
as boomerang and slash you with them. When hes down to his 4th hp bar use
trinity... then immediately switch to Limit form and use L1+O."
                                                                  -anonymous

"After a fighting Roxas many many times in attempts to have fun and steal his
keyblades, in turns out that he has five attacks with his keyblades.

1) The one he starts with. He swirls his keyblades around and then puts them
at his sides into a sort of an x slash position. The two keybades start glowing
and then he releases the energy into
circular waves. This attack can be:

Avoided by running out of the target area.
Dodge Rolled by rolling through it at the right time.
Reflega'd
or Guarded.
If you time it right, you can guard it. There's no doubt about it.
I've done it plenty of times.
Version 2: He swirls his keyblades while beams gather around him and he
releases the energy with the beams flying to areas of the field.
The beams can hit you if you get caught by them.

2) His combo. He gets into a charging pose, and then rushes up to you or behind
you and starts slashing at you, juggling you into the air. He then spins(and
slashes you) and jumps back, and charges into you with a whole series of beams
following behind him.

You can Guard all the combo slashes, and then guard the finisher.
You can Reflega the combo slashes, and the finisher.
You can High Jump->Aerial Dodge-> Glide quickly to dodge the whole thing.
I wouldn't suggest using Dodge Roll. You can Quick Run past his finisher.
Guarding and Reflega-ing the finisher will make him drop his keyblades into the
ground, which is you chance to attack him.

Version 2: He attacks you with the slashes while the beams go forward
attempting to hit you. When he does his finisher, the beams that come with it
travel to the ends of the field.

3) Jump up and then down slash. Really simple.
This can be guarded or Reflega'd.
Version Two: He jumps up and then slashes down on you with a lots of beams at
his two sides"
