What is the purpose of Poff nuts. Do you get them only to give to carros to make them happy? Is there anything to be gained by collecting them?
Poff Nuts ARE only used to give to Carro. They light up certain areas in dungeons and I think allows you to find certain items.

statusAs far as I know, their only use is to give to Carro to let him light the way for you. I haven't played this in a while, so I don't know how many places there are that need lighting up (under Cyrum Castle is one place I know); and I can't remember how useful/essential it is. I'm pretty sure they don't have any other use.
