Kessen III
Question from EMP68
Asked on: 8/17 3:36AMWhy does it boost enemy officer stats and enemy officer skills(because that shows up plainly under the enemy's name) and I get zero bonuses for my officers? I've checked the before and after stats and there is NOTHING benificial that I've found from entering Rampage mode. Other than the small bonuses you get from picking up the few katanas that appear(unless you have the Sakurana horse that makes ALL items katanas)that boost JUST your experience points in a NON-noteworthy way,you make it through the enemy troops that are hammering you, then you (sometimes) barely survive and beat the officer that shows up coupled with a boatload of frustration and sometimes several reloads(because I save before I enter Rampage),ONLY to get a few DINKY points AS IF you beat a couple of officers in the stage normally without EVER USING Rampage mode?! PLEASE,somebody tell me what is the POINT of Rampage mode? Or am I MISSING something?
Rampage has a few extra effects. If you defeat enough of the enemy, the enemy unit will be in a 'stunned' state when you exit the rampage screen (useful for setting up a charge or other special attack). A successful rampage will also raise your General's condition (not his life bar)-you see those arrows before the battle next to a general's name? It'll help bring a wounded general back to health, and his special attack gauge will rise. Finally, there are certain officers you can only unlock by a successful rampage against certain other generals-the swordsmen like Bokuden, Musashi, etc. It really doesn't help much in leveling up.
I usually only use rampage to unlock the officers. It's too time consuming for the rather limited benefits it gives you, and my officers usually are never in bad condition anyway.
