Asked on: 11/22 7:33PMI'm in hero mode and can't get pass the level. Any suggestions, other than using level select, would be greatly appreciated.
A point which many people may miss, is that strategy is more important in this mission than aim.
The gun has a heat register, as the gun overheats, your bullets become less and less effective. A cool gun will drop the enemies out of the sky faster. Tap the trigger instead of holding it down to keep the gun cool.

statusI was there and still am.I put a page on the board and too guys answerd me.there is no way other than keep working on it.If you want to check out that page it on the first screen that comes up.It should be by the top under (i need help).Good luck.
Unfortunately, the only way to get past is to keep trying. In hero mode, that is the hardest mission in the game. However there is a trick so that you only need to fight the 40 guards at the end of the section:
Repeat an earlier mission in order to get enough Metal head skull gems (just go there, don't use level select) to get all four dark powers, and enough precursor orbs to get unlimited Dark Jak. Then use Dark Giant to jump over the fence at the start of the mission. Dark blast (Square then X) kills all the guards before the 40 at the end. Use Dark Giant again to jump back over the fence and do the rest as normal.
And no, you can't ride the rails with your jet-board. (I did try once)
iTs not that hard. get in the turret and shoot the krimsons and l8er u see turrets of of a huge ship and shoot the turretts
