I think you mean the ghost in Limbo Guys house. If so, you can't beat him on your first playthrough, you just have to run away. ^^

Do you mean a huge guy in a glowing white robe? If so then thats the Kusabi and you cant fight him until later on in the game. If you run around the corner very fast you'll see a door leading outside. Escape through here and he'll leave you alone.

here are the control for the controler to get in and when in camera mode. O button is to pull up camera, X button is to take a picture you can also use R1 button. Triangle button is to use the power ups you collect in the game. L1 is to look at the power ups you have and find the one you want to use. L2 is to zoom in and R2 is to zoom out. And as always the left analog stick is to move you can move while in camera mode.

In this point there is no way you could damage him, regardless what type of films you use. After the cutscene, don't hesitate to run away.
