The last time I played this game, I ran away because I wasn't leveled up enough to avoid being slaughtered. But after a while, I discovered that I could no longer go back there. When does this actually happen?

statusIt becomes unavailable after you finish it.
In certain parts of the game, you have to complete the area you're in before going back to previous areas. So if you're going to the Mountain Tower for example, you won't be able to go back until after you finish it.
