You beat virgil by standing close to him but not to close that he. Can hit you he will also hide in the shadoes thats your best chance good luck.

Do not go too close to Virgil, just throw bottles and bricks until he drops.

When you throw bottles it is auto aim. I learned that the hard way after trying to beat him by manually aiming inbetween him tossing molotovs. When you get into the next room, just throw things at him and if you think you can land a few punches go for it. In the last room throw him into the fire.

in the first room, just throw him bricks or bottles until he run to the next room.
in the second room, throw bricks or bottles to where he hides, avoid him and he will eventually hit vermin. repeat until he shows himself.
After that you can beat him to a pulp

Lol your getting tire of him kick n your nut lol.

All you have to do is run in his direction and push the throw button. You don't really have to aim.
