Asked on: 3/16 1:39PMIn Chapter 5, Part 4, there are a bunch of Wood Golems with mallets...hammers...whatever you call them. I want one for my Lucky Doll character, but my Thief has a 0% stealing rate. I assume there's another way to get them, but I don't know how.
I'm not sure about this one, but I have a bit of evidence.
There seem to be some enemies that you simply cannot steal from during your first playthrough. Those Wood Golems, and later, a bunch of veggie people with syringes and magnets, as well as most bosses. My Thief had a 0 or 1% success rate for those every time, even when I equipped him with several TEC boosting items. But, on my second playthrough, he was able to steal with a much greater percentage.
So, I think the game may just be hoarding those special weapons until your second playthrough, when you can even win them through the bonus list. You CAN steal balloons and cannons from certain enemies in your first playthrough, I know for certain, because I had a couple. But I didn't get Pies, Syringes, Magnets, Mallots, Fishing Poles, Remotes, or Beam Swords until my second playthrough.
