I'm wanting to buy this game but I'm not sue if I'll need to buy 'Shadow Hearts' and 'Shadow Hearts: Covenant' first. Anyone?

statusNot really. It would be easier to understand if you played Covenant, but it barely references the first game at all and anything from the second that you need to know will be explained to you. It's harder to understand without the second game, but it's not enough to detract from the experience.
