I had it before when i first got on looking for a answer,and i wrote it down and put the code in,but I didn't have the 2-player mode for story mode,and I also beat the game and I still didn't get the 2-player mode.
The code is in the cheat code section. After you enter the code, play the game normal and you can use the 2nd controller to control your partner. That's is the 2 player mode.
Complete the game will unlock Onimusha Arena which is a 2 player versus mode.
