Asked on: 1/8 10:23AMI was playing the game with a friend who had already beaten the game, and it was my first time going through the game, when out of nowhere I used Ion Mystic Arte, and my friend says that I can only unlock it in second play mode
I checked other guides and stuff, and everyone agrees that its only 2nd playthrough
Also, I noticed I could only do it if I had Ion hanging around with my party, so anyone know how I could've gotten it?

But we have different memory cards, and played on two different PS2s

statusIIRC, provided that a clear game save on the same memory card is present, you will be able to access some of the extensions.
I know that you can only do the Ion extension whenever Ion's with you, because, really, that's obvious.
I can't think of anything other than what Twilight said.

Yeah,your requirements is all right and nothing to argue..
I know this sounds strange but,maybe your memory cards must be have the system data from ToTA that you have cleared the game once..if you have erased it,then it won't work of course..when I lack of knowledge about memory card,I try to erase it because I don't know what it is for and then I play the 3rd playthrough ToTA,I can't do jade's indignation,luke's lost fon drive and such..I checked the requirements,nothing wrong even the game shows this is the second playthrough(mark with stars on save data) and then I realized it.yeah..maybe this is stupid..but don't erase the system data..I was a BIG fool back then
Ah yes I forgot to mention your last clue..DID YOU COPY THE SYSTEM DATA? IF NOT THEN THAT IS THE PROBLEM! I'M SURE OF IT
when i first started playing the game i too saw that i could only do it on second playthrough but i wanted to try it anyway and from then on I kept doing the extension whenever i had ion with me
No question about ur requirements there,,,,,,,,, did you copy the file?? be ware of glitch probelms... like,,,, u cant fight in a area battle......ul only fight in forced battle....but there is a slight chance of having a glitch...
