Asked on: 4/15 11:03AMIt took me forever to get to 2000 because I kept on going to loops of levels.
Take the fire portal every single time, as that way you jump 100 floors. The water portal gives you a green orb, but you only jump a single floor. And the lightning portal gives you a white orb, but you only jump 10 floors - I think I have this the right way round.
So. Take fire portals only. That's a definite. Then just keep playing your way through til you reach level 9999, the last one. Mind the DTed enemies in the level 9000 floor.
Equip: Beo/A&R, then Trickster, QS or RG as a style.

statusIf you have the Dante's infinity devil points costume (you gain it when you finish heaven or hell mode) you can use the quicksilver style forever. It make dificult to have a good rank, but it's much easier to beat bosses during the bloody palace.
