Once you got rage of the titans ability by freeing prometheus from his torment,(using typhon bane from typhon)you are able to free pegasus.

statusYou'll have to hit one of his fingers so it moves back in, out of your way. It won't rise, though. Otherwise...there is no path to the left. >_>
Also, a tip. The new ability you get later can be charged by hitting the fingers with it turned off, in case you run out.
You must explore the area first. You will get a couple of new abilities before you can free Pegasus.
Like catkiller says, you must hit the middle finger to unblock the path and then go along there.
