Asked on: 12/21 3:46PMI can never catch a boar. What tools/skills do you need to catch a boar, and how do you go about catching them?
you need the obsidan spear and a boddy skill of 10 to be successful at getting the boar.
The best way to do it is to chase it and get as close as possble to it.
Then pause the game and take out any and all the items you have stored in your inventory; Items include: workbenches [ bambo and hardwood], chairs, couches, loveseats, shower [if you have one] garden gnomes, stoves and just about whatever you have,; including a bed if you have one.
Now put all these items around your Sim and the boar; leave enough space for your sim and the boar to do battle. Sortta fence the two of them in together.
Now unpause the game and wait till your sim gets the bubble of the boar above their head.
Now once you get that; go into the quick inventory where your tools are and click on the obsidan spear.
You will then get to sit and watch your sim kill the boar and a ham will appear.
Just put all items back into the inventory and have your sim pick up the ham.

statusWell; boars are tricky. :-/ I have only got 2. What I did was stood infront of it. I also annoyed it. I have no idea if it has to do with skills. I'm sorry this might not be very clear. But, if you happen to be lucky enough to catch one; over your sim's head should be an alert sign with a picture of a boar in it, then there will be a fight, then POOF! you have ham. :D
