Come on I am new to this stuff help me out.

statusActually you can't buy upgrades, but you can earn them by beating stages or killing enough enemies with the same weapon. If you pick a level that you've already beaten you can look at the weapon you selected and there's a bar. You can then see that i increases with every enemy you defeat and when the bar is full then you can sometimes find a new weapon or upgrade. How this helps.
