Destroy All Humans!
Review by TrueGamer104
"UFO A Go Go!"
Introduction
Man when I heard about this game I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I was super hyped and ready to go only to be even more grateful that it was better than I had expected. Destroy All Humans stands it's ground on everything it offers and then some. Also how often do you get to play as an alien sent to "Destroy All Humans"?
Story
The game is just as the name implies. You are an alien clone sent to earth to destroy all humans. Pretty simple and straight forward, and not to mention a few twists here and there that add other than fill in.
Game Play
Talk about super sweet. The game play is really nice and for all your able to do in this game, it plays really smooth. You have telekinetic powers (think Psi-Ops-The MindGate Conspiracy) where you can mess with anyone or anything in the environment. Although it takes some getting used to, once you do get used to it you will be ready to roll. This game has a Havoc engine and many games have this. What the havoc engine is, is when you destroy something or someone it's almost life like due to the added physics. This alone in any game is cool but the things you can do in here make it even better. You are able to freely get in and out of your ship and zoom around, and like I said the environments are fully destructible. Throw in some cool levels and missions with out of this world weapons and upgrades (pun intended) this game will surely fill your needs. Also it keeps track of your stats and it's kind of cool to check them out every now and again. You do have your boundaries however but you have enough room, so don't get the misconception of grand theft UFO.
Graphics
The graphics are really nice and I find nothing wrong with them what so ever other than a few glitches here and there, nothing to big. Or shall I say nothing that isn't tolerable. The environments and people are highly detailed and not to mention the environments are really big.
Music
The music is fitting for this type of game. Since it's set in the 40's-50's era you will kind of see where I am going with this when you play. Some of the music is a reminder of all the late great UFO horror movie spoofs.
Controls
Surprisingly with all you can do it's simple enough. And believe me you can do a lot. The controls are easy to get used to in no time at all.
Voice Acting
I had to add this section to my review. Your character alien man sounds like a sarcastic Jack Nicholson. I found this pretty hilarious. Otherwise the voice acting is really good and so are the add libs from all the people.
Replay Value/Game Length/Buy or Rent
Okay lets start here, the game isn't to long so depending on how much time you put into a game you could probably finish it in a few days. This game has it's challenging points though. The replay value is pretty high due to the fact that this game is just to fun and it's always nice to go back and play again. For all it's worth it's perfect to me and I recommend you buy this wacky title.
Happy Gaming!
