"About As Good as the 3 Before it."

I was at my local gas station and found a rack of games. I picked this one up for $10.00.

Gameplay 9/10
The gameplay is great. It took me a lot of time to complete this game, and I didn't even earn 100 percent! However, it is a little hard though. Events should be available for doing any time; they shouldn't ever be 'missed' or disapeer. That just makes it harder. However there are many Mini games. They're all pretty cool.

Sounds 9/10
The sounds are like always-great. They have great music. You have to buy a car radio and earn CDs, but most of the CDs have pretty music. Whether you like western, calming, or Japanese music, you'll like the music. Even classical is featured. The SF, or sound effects, are pretty good. Engine noises, planting noises-lots of different, well, noises! But the cars 'click' instead of having real voices. *Sigh*

Replayability 10/10
This game provides a feature where multiple saves can be held. Different players can give each other gifts, view other's records, and more! Plus you have a nice Multiplayer mode and a Single race. Also, you will want to play the Adventure, or Story mode again, whatever you want to call it, in order to do those 'missed' events and recover more items.

Graphics 9/10
The perspective is bad. Still, the graphics are smooth, and the shine effect is good. Trees change through 'months' on the game, each providing different seasons. For example the trees are pink in May and bare in December. However, game months are short. Day and night is also featured. The cars, well, MOST of the cars, can be compared to real life cars. They're a bit small, but that's what makes it fun, right?

Story 9/10
So, why a 9? Because it's a bit sad. At the end, when someone dies. Anyway, you take the role as the newest racer on the street and make a new friend. He is going to be a racer to, and he does. Along the way, you've got to figure out the mystery of a past racer too. Your friend gets in the hospital, and then you have to race this guy you had to figure ou the past of. He's real hard. In the middle, one of your teammates is damaged, so your other one must take over. In the last race, the mystery guy is super hard and then you don't know it but your friend dies and his ghost helps you win. Then after the race somebody says "YOUR FRIEND has passed away" and you see him rise up and disapeer. I can't tell you more.

Overall 9/10
This game is on my top ten list, definitely. This game is great. It provides adventure, action, and racing, all combined. No matter what type of gamer you are, you'll love this game.

So, buy or rent? Buy-you'll want to play it many times, and even friends can make their own Story mode without erasing yours! You can even give them gifts.
