"Its Okay"

The 2K Sports Baseball seris returns this year without the ESPN affiliate, and the MLB license. The game comes up a little short of 06' The Show but you will love the gameplay and you might be able to get around the fielding and some-what lowered graphics. Otherwise you should buy this game if you are a big baseball fan who loves realism in video games.

Gameplay 8/10- This is the best part of the game right here. The gameplay,especially the pitching is great. The pitching has a new design where you hold and release at the center of the pitch. The batting is also a pretty good concept with the Swing Stick. The fielding is the only thing that needs work in this department while the baserunning is hard it can be mastered. The fielding is just all wrong. It has the new motion physics but they just add to the bad fielding errors you'll make.

Graphics 6/10- The graphics have stepped down a little bit this year. The one thing that might have improved is the facial graphics. The players' faces look like the actual counterparts and you can see some emotion when they are hitting or fielding. The helmet reflections are gone for the PS2 and the jerseys and gear could use some more detail.

Sound 7/10- The same duo of Jon Miller and Joe Morgan are back from last year's game also. They are still the best duo in baseball and are very informative. The bad thing is they lost some of their perkiness. They are pretty boring and non-lively. When I hit a home run they are barely shouting. The crowd will get into the game and the ceremonial "ROLL CALL" at Yankee Stadium is even included. The sound is pretty average.

Presentaion 7/10- The presentation is new since losing the ESPN affiliate and they have tried to copy that with their own words like: instead of K-ZONE it's K-CAM, instead of WEB GEM its TOP PLAY. The presentaion is good and you should like it.
