Review by Megaheartsfan

"G'day mate! This game be a floppy!"

So...Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, huh? Interesting idea..but it's an idea with no actual substance and very little entertainment. This game just isn't quite as fun as you may expect. It gets very repetetive after a short time and you are left with nothing after you beat it. If your curious why…well read my review!

Story: 3/10

The story is extremely simple and is the same pace the entire way. There are a couple suprises but, quite frankly, they're not shocking or in any way exhilarating in the least. The basic plot is that you are an Austrailian Tasmanian Tiger named, Ty, and you have twin boomerangs. And you are in search of 5 stolen talismans that will open the portal in which you're family is trapped in. Or in other words, for the most part you are just going through different locations doing the same stuff over and over.

Graphics: 8/10

Fortunately the graphics don't bring down the game. The graphics are just wonderful and are well animated. They're well polished and designed nicely. And all the environment are colorful and creative. Though you will notice that Ty looks kind of…different, upclose.

Gameplay: 5.2/10

The gameplay formula is pretty basic. You hit stuff with boomerangs, you rescue things, race things, ect. to get these things called "Thunder Eggs". It may seem pretty easy and simple. But don't be fooled. Getting the required amount of these thunder eggs is no easy task. A lot of gamers get frustrated with this game because of how such a simple task is such a pain in the neck. Sucking out all the fun that this game is already lacking.

Sound: 8/10

The sound is alright. Each character speaks in strong austrailian accents, that aren't too overdone. The dialogue is childish but that's what'd you'd expect from a game like this. And all the other sound effects sound just fine.

Overall: 4.7/10

I know this is a short review. But nothin much else to say about the game other than the fact that I completely loathe it. It's really boring, kiddy, and it's not even relatively acceptable.

Rent or Buy

RENT RENT RENT RENT. Yea..you're gonna wanna rent. This game isn't very enjoyable at all. It'd be ok for a rent if you were really bored and had nothing to do. But you'll get tired of it easiy. Unless your 10 or younger then you'll probably enjoy this.
