"Round 3 and still not knocked out, which is a good thing"

Game play: 9.5/10

First of all they got a different kind of game modes like hard hits which is regular. They got training which I don't know why they got it in there, since there is no reason for it. They got ESPN classic rivalries like Ali and Frazier. In hard hits you choose the red corner or the blue corner(like any other regular boxing game) and then you choose a class like Feather weight, light weight, welter weight, middle weight, light heavy or heavy weight. And in all the classes there are at least 5 people (not including your characters, which I will talk about in the characters part.) then you choose arena, which is either sponsored or non-sponsored, the sponsored are EA sports, burger king, and dodge. Non-sponsored ones are like Madison square garden, staple center, or just the regular warehouse kind. In boxing fights at the end of each round you can fix your character up like a regular boxing medic. If you got knocked out then you go into a weird thing were you see the referee in front of you and the analog sticks have to be controlled and you gotta put them in middle of the screen. They got some new moves like flash KO punch where you can through a punch doesn't matter if they got full health or not it would make them knock downed, stun punch which would make you go into a first person and if you was the person that did the move you are being looked at and you get to throw as many punches as you can or if you was that the one that got the punch thrown at them your are the person looking at him and you just get to through your fist up to block the punch, and the final new move is the haymaker which is just a regular right hook but it has more power and adds some energy to you. My favorite part was the KO's which when you do that it replays it in slow motion.

Replay ability: 9/10

ESPN Classic had some replay ability because every time you played as a different character you got his package like if you played Ali then you was able to wear Ali boxing clothing and able to do his moves but after you played as him in ESPN classic once then you was done playing him then after your done playing Ali then you could play as Frazier after you win with him you got to get his clothing and boxing style for your created character. Hard hits has a lot of replay ability because if your really into boxing then you would have fun just beating up everyone some times you would get beat up but that's fun too. Story mode I didn't find that much replay ability because after you played it once you had all the arenas.

Controls: 10/10

The controls are really good and easy to learn. Every button had something to do like the analog sticks were the move and punching button. They had signature moves button which made it easy for you when the person in the other corner was ready to go down you just pressed that button and they would go down with one hit.

Story: 5/10

There was really no story to this game. Just create a character or start a legend over from the beginning. After you created a character or a legend you start as a new up and comer and gain your way up the fame class. This is where the training was good in every time before you fought someone you could train on something like health, speed or strength. Of course after ever fight you got some money if you won to go the fight store and spend some money on fixing your characters clothing and fight moves.

Difficulty: 10/10

It was a little difficult to fight a fast person with a strong person because everytime you threw a punch you would always get dodged and get hit with a 5 hit combo before it started over again. Other than that it was easy.

Audio: 9/10

All the music was rap, they had people like akon, who is a RNB singer, but he was a featuring person other songs to me seem like they was new people because I never heard of them. Only time it played the songs was in the main title, at the middle of the rounds, and at the entrance of all people. During the matches you just to heard the crowd but you don't really pay any attention to them because your to busy throwing punching and dodging them.

Characters: 10/10

Like I said they had Muhammad Ali and they had the people from these days like Oscar De La Hoya. You got to create a character which was a little dumb because you had no reason because they had no disruption points of the stats. And every clothing in the fight store was free. I found that it was really good at the facial stuff because you could actually create a person that looked exactly like you.

Graphics: 8.5/10

All the graphics were up to date except for the blood and sweat they was little squares flying to the ground. The blood on the face was really bright red too so that was a little weird, but what I liked about the blood on the face is that if you punched them it would go off their face and let the blood go down their face again.

Rent it or Buy it?

If you are really into boxing, you probably already bought this game but if you just want to play another fighting game other than the mortal combat or smackdown. Rent this game play it return it and buy it if you like it but if you don't play it until you get so sick of it and return it the third day you rented it.

Pros: Addictive game play
Create a boxer
The slow motion knock outs
All the characters
The music
Easy to learn controls

Cons: the little square blood and sweat
If you don't like rap then the music
Story was only play once
