Sonic Mega Collection Plus

"Going back in time with Sonic!"

What else can I say about Sonic Mega Collection: Plus? It is truly a great game? It has everything a hardcore Sonic fan would want. Old Sonic games for the Sega Genesis, old Sonic games for the Gamegear, and even some extra features. However, I will not tell you about these extra features! You'll just have to buy the game for yourself! Now, on to the review!

Story 10/10

Since there are many different Sonic titles, there is no specific story, but each of them are great.

Gameplay 10/10

Since you are playing all of the old Sonic games, it really does feel like you are playing them on the Sega Genesis. Nothing has been changed, except for the controls, of course! So, if you've played any of these, you'll find it just like the good old times. Also, since the Gamegear games are included, they included different controls for that, too. So, you'll have to adapt to that, as well. But, it should not be hard at all.

Graphics 7/10

Well, as stated above, these are the old Sonic games. So, they did not enhance them in any way. The graphics are that of if you are playing on the Genesis or Gamegear. But, that's fine fine with me. It would probably ruin the feeling of playing one of the games if they did enhance the graphics, in my opinion.

Sound 7/10

Again, like graphics, sound isn't enhanced. It sounds (no pun intended) just like you were playing them on the older systems.

Playtime/Replayability 10/10

If you are a hardcore Sonic fan, you will probably play this over and over again. And, since there are many Sonic games to play, you'll be in front of your Playstation two for hours. And, the good thing is, you can keep a save file for each individual game. So, if you have to be somewhere and are playing Sonic, just pause the game, save it, and restart from that exact point later.

Final Recommendation

I would recommend this game to any true Sonic fan. I would also recommend it to anyone looking for a good game to spend lots of time on. Since the game is rated E, it is appropriate for all ages. So, buy this game if you haven't already.
