"Are you the Predator or are you the prey?"

Introduction: Manhunt, what can you not say about Manhunt, that the press and everyone has already said? This game did make me kind of feel like I was playing The Suffering though but I'm just wondering if this is a survival horror game or if it's an action game?

Graphics: 10/10

Let's see…Graphics were pretty much the same as the GTA series, which means they were a little blocky. All the gangs in this game are pretty much not that different from each other too, some of them where masks while others wear a bandanna or something like that… All the gore and violence in this game is no wonder why the game is the top 10 most violent games of all time so if you don't like that much of violence or something like that I don't think you would want to play this game and the gore is really realistic, when you go up behind someone and slash their neck or something like that the blood gets on the camera…

Sound: 10/10

The music in this game wasn't very much in the game but I do believe that there was a little scary tones in the game, which would make the game a little scary. The voice acting was a major part of what made the game so good, that dude that was instructing you on what to do, did in fact be a little bit kind of scary. Footsteps were very well done too and wasn't as loud as other games make them to be. I did see that the headset was usable in this game too but I broke my pair of headset so I didn't get to have the fun with that part…Every enemy would go out screaming something they have not need to say which would give you some humor out of just waiting in the shadows for them to turn around a kill them.

Game play: 9.5/10

This game is all about the killing, threw out the entire game you have to hide in the shadows and wait for your chance to get out and slice his neck, strangle him, or even cut his head right off and cutting his head off would a useful item which allows you to pick it up and throw the head close to a enemy and he would run over and look at it which is a great distraction for you to run behind him and slash his neck. This game is a little repetitive but the stealth in the game is what makes this game so fun and when you get caught you run run run and that is fun fun fun and if you try to fight them it is almost impossible to kill them especially fighting a pack of them which if you get caught they will call more people to help them out which makes the game very clear that you must stay in the shadows, so if you lack patience this is not a game for you. It was a little weird that you could be a couple of inches away from the split between the lighten and the shadows and a hunter (which the enemies in this game is called) will not even see you I mean even if they are right in front of you and facing you they would look at you and not even notice you. Anyways there is a little radar that would help you out on the game which the shows you where to go and the location of the enemies. Yellow is they are not aware of you, Orange they heard or seen you and red is that they are close to you. Noise is part of the game too and it is really useful for getting enemies to get close to you but not see you if you hide so when they turn around you can kill them. Walking is only noisy when you step on gravel. Unlike other games if you knock over something like a garbage can or something like that you would make some noise too. You can even break glass which would give you an extra weapon for you to kill but breaking glass would be risky because it makes noise of course. The handgun is a little weird but like Rockstar they seem to like the heads disappearing when shot. It may be a little twisted but I really liked to use every single weapon in the game just to see how they would kill the person. Every weapons has three execution style, the harmful which deadly but not every deadly, the more harmful which is more deadly and the gruesome which is the most violent of all of them and the hardest to do because it takes a lot of time behind the enemy to do but I'm pretty sure it pays off for most people that would like to see how every execution style is. I didn't really like the hand to hand combat they would do I would have to say it was better in the GTA: San Andreas game better than the Manhunt one but Manhunt wasn't really made for the fighting it is all about the stealth and killing like Metal Gear Solid or something like that.Only problem with the guns is that it wouldn't go into a camera effect when you get close to them. The guns don't come out for a while though and when they do it turns the game a little boring because you just wait until they get close to you and he would automatically aim at their heads and blow their heads off literally so that's why I never used the guns that much but one mission you are forced to use handguns because there is no shadows for you to hide in and none of the handguns are silent except for 1 and that's not really a firearm though. And if you try shooting them a far then you have to shoot them a couple of times before they actually go down which by the time you kill one person you have about 5 other hunters after you shooting you. Other weapons are like the plastic bags, glass, base ball bats, and other stuff that you can get your hands on. Last generations worst game was Mortal Kombat and this generation's worst game is Manhunt, but if Mortal Kombat wasn't ever made then the ESRB would have never been made and Manhunt would have created the ESRB but it would probably be stricter…The controls in this game is very much well and I had no problem with any controls except for the analog sticks because I'm really use to the GTA style camera and Manhunt's camera control was slightly different.

Storyline: 9.5/10

Well you play as an inmate named Cash, who has supposable died but as returned from the dead with a help of a person. He lets you go run wild in the streets…but there is a price for your life which is you are played on a snuff film. I had to do a little research on what a “snuff film” was and it is what the game is all about you just running around the streets and killing random people. These kinds of films are sold for money and entertainment. Of course it is highly illegal and I wouldn't recommend someone actually trying to do these kinds of films…anyways back to the storyline and other gangs are out to get you to for the snuff films too…Every once and a while you would come to a location where the camera would be showing you or helping you find a location of your next objective. The twisted little humor in these game is kind of weird like you chasing a giant pink killer bunny or you have to help a hobo to his place or something like that. I would of like to see more about Cash's life before this game went down, it did tell us that he had a tough time with his family though…

Replay value: 8/10

No multi-player of course, Rockstar doesn't really put multiplayer in games. There are a few bonus levels in the game which would be a little bit of helping on the replay value and are easily unlocked if you do the hardest difficulty with 3-4 stealth kills but other than that it is only replay valuable if you want to do it for fun but I found it only fun after about the second time playing the game on the harder difficulty.

Rent it or buy it?

This game is worth a rental but if you really like games like Hitman, this is a good game to buy. This game is only really worth if it is at least 20 dollars.

Pros: Long game time
Scary graphics
A bunch of weapons for you to play around with
VERY GOREY
USB headset support
Twisted humor
Originality
No multiplayer
Good audio

Cons: Hard difficulty
A lot of gore so only for mature audience only
