"Tiger still going strong, scoring under-par yet again."

A yearly franchise that is acclaimed among many as the best golf series ever devised, after hearing years of this, I finally decided to take a look (After being bugged by friends for a long period) And I must say, I wasn't disappointed.

Now before we begin I must say, I'm no big fan of golf, so I came into this with an unbiased viewpoint as opposed to someone already hating/loving golf, I was a neutral. This game quickly turned me to a golf lover.

Gameplay: 8/10
Now due to the Lackluster manual that was given to me with this game, it took me a while to pick up the controls of this game, I was left wondering why the shot kept bobbling down the fairway, getting no real air. Soon, with an accidental flick of the right analog stick, I was away. The swing actually feels like a swing and the analog control gives the game a great feel, If there is one problem I think it is the chipping, it is incredibly hard to hit a decent chip, the times a have attempted have cost me a few shots.

The features in the game are good as well, the very well done Rivals mode, the PGA tour real time calender. Amongst others, then you have the fun games of Driving, pitching etc. There is enough here to keep you busy for a long time.

Graphics: 10/10
Now what can I say? The game is beautiful! When I first switched the game on, I had the intention of writing this, so I thought I'd do some comparison work, getting images of courses featured in the game and comparing them to the in-game models, and I must say, they are almost picture perfect, The swing animation is nicely incorporated, and the golfer models, represent the real life counter-parts very well. You won't be left disappointed in the Graphics department trust me.

Sound: 8/10
The sound in this game, reflects well, off what it actually is out on a golf course, the quiet, peacefulness, with birds tweeting in the trees, then as you land the shot onto the green on the 18th, you hear the crowd go wild. It gives you the real feeling and sensation. Down to the shouts of the golfers willing their ball onto the green, or to keep straight down the fairway. It gives you a real feeling of the game, whilst keeping it interesting and fresh. But there is no soundtrack to speak of in this game. Something that disappointed me a bit, meaning for the loss of the 2 points on the score.

I went into this game, very sceptical, wondering what it was, and what was the big deal about it, I mean at the end of the day, It's golf isn't it?

But I was pleasantly surprised when I started to play, this game is a barrel of fun which can keep you playing for ages to come. It has converted me to appreciating Golf for the sport that it is.
