Lego Star Wars
Review by horror_spooky
"Surprisingly Awesome Game!!!"
Star Wars games usually have a bad reputation of being bad games. Despite a few Star Wars titles, all Star Wars games are only for the fans. Then, Lego Star Wars was released. This game puts all other Star Wars games to shame!
This is one of the funnest games I have ever played in my life. I don't know what it is about the game, but it's just so much fun! You get this adrenaline rush as you progress. Even though it's a game made for younger kids, older kids (even adults!) will enjoy this game.
This game is very, very easy. Getting enough lego pieces to unlock everything is simple too. It would have been better if the game was just a little more challenging, but it is just plain fun to play and that's the point of playing a videogame. If you die, you just show up where you left off (assuming your partner is alive.) This game is a masterpiece.
There are various different types of characters you can control. Some characters can jump really high, some can open special doors, some can use the force and etc. You have to use these abilities to travel through the levels and obtain every hidden item.
The story is basically the new Star Wars trilogy of episodes I, II and III. You go through three different times periods in the Star Wars saga (as in the movies). The first episode is about Obi Wan Kenobi and Qui Gon Jinn as they try to protect Queen Amadala from droid armies. I won't ruin the other two for you (just incase you haven't seen the movies).
The graphics are very unique. They are Star Wars characters just put in Lego form. It has all the original Star Wars music and every sound fits with each action. None of the characters have speaking parts which adds to the humour of the game.
The game is very short, which is a sad, sad thing. You're left wanting for more, but maybe that's what the developers were aiming for.
There is a ton of replayability. After you unlock all the different types of characters, you can redo levels over and over to get all the secrets and other characters. By the time you've collected everything you'll still want to play the game. That's how fun it is. You can go through it probably five times and not even get bored.
This game is a renter to some, but a buyer for most. I usually just say to rent all games, but this game deserves to be bought just because of how fun it is. If only it was a little longer it might've gotten a perfect score. I can't wait for the sequel!
