Shining Tears

"X-Play is wrong, this game is great"

Ok, Shining Tears got mixed scores for different reviewers not just here, but even on t.v as well. Anyway, I will tell you, the game is good and here are reasons why.

Concept: 7/10
The idea of the game is average. Putting two strong people against a whole army is a reminder of a another game for the PC. Anyway, also the idea of the main character having no absolute side changes when his partner is either good or bad. This is a average idea.

Story: 8/10
The story is simple, yet good. It's about a boy who lost his memories and is found barely alive by a elf girl. Also, along the way, he gets more people and must fight a army that is trying to take over the land. Now, he nad hei friends use legendary rings called " the Twin Dragon Rings". You get the picture, save the land business. Don't worry, this story won't blow you away.

Game play: 8/10
The game play is is really weird. 2 people with the rings go to the field and must defeat everyone by groups. It can get a little boring since you press the circle button most of the time and it's button mashing here. On the bright side, everyone in the group has special moves and different equipment so strategy is involved here. Also, to make things easier, you have links to remove more enemies from the field. It's easy to learn in the beginning.

The look: 8/10
The look is not stunning, but it's ok. The look looks like a PS1 game, but thanks to no blurriness, it's basically easy to look at. No, it won't be messed up by the battle system and It will look the same 99% of the time.

Music: 8/10
The music is flawless. Each battle song blends with the game and at times you will want to play that level just for the song.

Options: 9/10
The options are simple. like a regular RPG game. also, the option of 2 player is good so you can help your friend level up or steal one of their items. Either way, you will have fun.

Conclusion:
I can't tell for sure, but if you like the review, you can rent it and see if you want to actually buy it. This game is good and and it may be filled with flaws, I promise this game is worth your wait if you are a RPG player.
