"DDR continues its greatness"

Dance Dance Revolution is one of the few video games that are actually good for you. In case you don't know what DDR is, it's a game where you step on the arrows the same time the arrow rises to the step zone. Now for the review:

Sound 10/10

A dance game, of course has dance music. DDR Extreme has over 70 songs you could unlock and they sound very good. There are hits like Dynamite Rave by Naoki and Get Busy by Sean Paul. There are different types of music too like pop, rock, and hip-hop. But either way the games sounds awesome.

Gameplay 8/10

Again, this is one of the few games where its good for you. You actually use a dance mat to step to the beat of the music. There are also various difficulties so players of all skills could dance to their own level. Dancing is stepping to the beat and can be very fun to do. The Eyetoy is also available for hands and feet mode but it's not a reason to get an Eyetoy.

Online 5/10

Here is where DDR fails. The only is this is good is you don't look as bad whe you get beaten by a dance king. Online takes you to a lobby where you search for other people using a search engine. The problem is that you don't get to select the song you want to dance to. Also, there are no friend lists or game types. All you do is find a person and dance. Better off going to an arcade instead.

Graphics 8/10

You might think graphics won't be good in a game where it's about music. Well it's not. The backgrounds for each song looks absolutely beautiful and fits each song very well. The only problem is that the backgrounds are very flashy and could cause seizures. But you could turn them off and use the Eyetoy instead but it's not that big to see yourself dancing. Actually, you look pretty stupid.

Overall 8/10

So overall, DDR is a great dance game where you can get exercise and have fun too. So prepare to dance till you drop!
