Burnout Revenge
Review by Peekuhchew9090
"Burnout Revenge is such a drag....."
Burnout Revenge is extremely good in graphics and game play, its just that the repetition is unbelievable and the music is horrifying. If you had a choice between Burnout Revenge and Burnout 3, by all means, get Burnout 3 because this will get you pissed off at how much of one thing you are doing.
GRAPHICS: 7/10
The graphics in this game are great! You see the sweet looking cars than can kill everything in their way, the scenery and all the trees just waiting for the cars to hit them, and the water just reflecting the sunlight. It is outstanding how good this game looks! It is almost impossible to get actual game play looking like that! 7/10 from me because it is wonderful, but not awesome. This game lacks that nice surge of fading and dragging colors when you boost. This game isn't a Need for Speed Underground 2, so don't expect much from the graphics and boosting. Another downside is that you can't change the way your car looks. The only thing you can do is change the color of your ride, but the body is always the same. You also get a wonderful slow-motion scene when you crash, so the looks are enhanced in that area.
SOUND: 4/10
The music in this game is once again, horrible. You can't get around that music unless you turn off the volume and listen to your own in those headphones. The sound effects are what make up for the horrible songs. When you crash, you KNOW you crashed because you hear parts getting hit and the cars make that smashing sound when they hit each other.
STORY: 2/10
There is no story in this game, so I couldn't possibly give this anything higher than 2/10 no matter what.
GAME PLAY: 3/10
The game play is incredibly repetitive. If you want different kinds of races and cars, then go with a different game, because this game has you doing everything over and over in order to unlock new ones. The cars go by nice and fast, but the game play is still the same thing. You just hit cars into walls and earn boost, then you use it until you run out or else you won't win.
OVERALL: 5/10
Overall, this game receives a 5/10 because it so VERY repetitive, nothing is truly happening in the story, and it is once again, REPETITIVE! The only thing that you can change up in the game is the car that you will use for that race, so upgrading your cars is impossible.
