NASCAR 07

"Nascar is back for the PS2 and is better than ever!!!"

Nascar games have been coming out for years now and have had many different games from Nascar 06 to Nascar Heat. The past few years EA have been the only one making them ad they have been dropping in quality a little. Nascar 06 there were many bugs ad same with Nascar 05 and a lot of Nascar fans have been taking notice. But lucky for us they have improved a ton this year and made a pretty good game for the Nascar and racing fans.

-Storyline 8-
There is some change this year in story line. You still have to fight to the top but this year there is some new things. You start out and Kenny Wallace asks you to drive his Modified but he wants to see how good you are first so you have these qualifying sessions each track the better you do the higher you start. In the end of it you will get contracts from a few different teams and you can take the one you like. You can choose one for each series and if you get enough money eventually buy a whole race team from Hendrick to Roush to RCR. Very cool and a lot better than last year

-Audio 9-
This year the audio is improved a lot also from songs to the sound of the cars. The big improvement is songs in Nascar 07. Last year there was only 1 song but this year there are a lot more and there is anything from Rock & Roll to Country music. Also the car sound are better as you race your car around the track if you turn your car to hard you tires will even screech which is a very nice touch to the game. Your engine sounds real and even changes the loudness as you shift through gears and go faster. You can even hear your own car drafting at Daytona and Dega. Very nice

-Graphics 9-
The graphics are also nice in this game as every detail on the car is exactly like the car in real life from sponsors to colors. The track also looks great and looks just like the tracks do in real life as you speed a long. The last big part of graphics is the new blur vision you have when you race. Now when you race at fast tracks such as Michigan,Daytona and others your car everything blurs as you pass by it which is very cool and real.

-Game play 10-
The game play is highly improved this year for! This year compared to last your car doesn't fell like a brick you race a long your car gets lose with a lose setup and gets tight with a tight setup. Your car does many different things this year and the setup for your car can make a bigger difference on you winning the race or losing this year. The AI is also a lot better this year they will block you and battle you hard for the win and all spots. Also there is Speed challenges which is fun. You get behind the wheel of a drivers car and they put you out in a real life situation that happened in the past few years such as missing wrecks, battling for the win and a few other things. There are many fun things to do in this years game

-Drivers 7-
This year in the game some real drivers (Ken Schrader,Carl Edwards and Clint Bowyer) are missing. So thats never a good thing to leave out real drivers. Also in the Busch series of the game most of the Cup drivers in it. There are 25 or so cup drivers and only 7 Busch drivers which is never good, I did not play Busch series to play cup drivers. Also in the truck series there are only 10 real drivers which is not even close to the real number of real drivers which is not good either. So there are not as many real drivers as people hoped.

-Overall 9-
With all the past Nascar games this stands at the top with Dirt to Daytona and Nascar Thunder 04. With everything so solid and so many fun things to do you will find yourself playing this game over and over again.

Rent Buy or Burn?
I say its a buy very fun even if your not a Nascar fan you should try it out
