"Join The Family!"

Forewords
--------------------

After the disappointment from Mafia, I have always kept my eyes after a new mafia game. When The Godfather was announced, I thought that it would be boring as Mafia. But So wrong I was...

What You Do
--------------------

The Godfather is a mafia game, and it's all about respect and money. You will first take the role of an outsider who gets to join the Corleone family after he has done some great things for them. Now he will get the journey of his life, where anything can happen. Friends can turn into enemies, and enemies can turn into friends, you'll never know, but business is business... You will get to rob banks, take over stores for the Corleone family so they will pay you for protection. You will also fight the rival gangs, and to win it might be good to blow up their businesses or bribe a FBI agent so he'll cover things for you. You can also bribe the police so you can kill someone without worrying about them. Yeah, your job is to take over the city completely and rub out the rival gangs.

Graphics - 9/10
--------------------

The Godfather's graphics surprised me alot when I first started the game. The city of New York is very detailed and the characters looks are breath taking. They look just like in the movie from 1972. Their mouths are moving perfectly as the voices are filling in. The cars are not so detailed, but they sure looks like cars, and they look much better than Mafia's cars. To put it simple, the graphics will make you feel like you were in New York for real.

Sound - 9/10
--------------------

Another good thing about The Godfather is the music and the sound. Some the music comes from the movie and they are creating a good atmosphere to the game as you're rolling down the streets. Another very good thing is that the weapons sound are very realistically. They don't sound like toy guns, as they're going in the most games. In The Godfather, you'll get to feel the guns for real. And of course the actors are doing an amazing job. A big thanks to Marlon Brando for filling in his voice to Don Vito once again before he passed away in 2004...

Gameplay - 9/10
--------------------

Thank god for this. The Godfather has 18 story missions that will take time to beat, and it also has many side quests that I won't spoil in this review. To take over the whole city and becoming a Don takes alot of time, and when you're done, you might just rest from it for a few weeks or days before you want to play it again! And you might want to try a new appearance for your gangster, as you will be able to create the whole character from the beginning.

Last Words
--------------------

If you are unsure if you want to get the game, go out and rent it first. You might get enough of it when you beat it the first time. But if you wait I'll promise that you want to beat it again. I'm glad that I bought this game and I'm enjoying the scenes and the gameplay alot. It's your choice, join the family... or not.
