"Perhaps the best racer to hit the PS2 ever!"

Damn straight!

Burnout has always consisted of the sheer element of speed. You're going so fast, you can never presume what's going to happen next. A car could ram your ass, traffic could block your route, and any random vehicle could explode. And Burnout Revenge expresses this powerfully in its fast and aggressive tone. Not only is it racing, it's a demolition derby out there too! With the best graphics you could find and good sound effects form the engine to the crashes, Burnout Revenge lives up to its reputation just as the prequel did.

GRAPHICS: 10/10

This is the main feature of Burnout Revenge: the graphics. They are simply stunning. The environments look real, the cars look real, it really is a virtual environment. You can picture yourself in the car itself driving at 200 miles an hour. You can imagine the other cars slamming into you and then you take them down. It's so very realistic. And don't the cars look all nice and shiny? Nice paint, nice reflection, nice wheels, and a lot of detail. And in Road Rage, you can actually see the parts falling off your car as you damage other cars and as you get taken down. And above all, this applies to all the cars and tracks in the game. It's amazing. Good work EA, Citroen and Renderware, whichever one of you did the graphics!

SOUND: 9/10

Sound effects are improved in this game compared to Burnout 3: Takedown. I'm not saying this happened in number 3, but you don't hear the same sound effect twice in a row in this game. I truly hate that in games. It makes them look and sound cheap. And there is probably a lot of programming in the game to make sure these sounds are the right type, the right volume, etc. In other words, a full on slam doesn't sound like a minor grind. With that, no two cars sound the same either; it adds personality to the car you're driving. And the music is awesome as well. The rock music in this game really motivates you too kick the other driver's asses. Too go as fast as possible. Too push your car and yourself (in a way) too the limits. Too go FLAT OUT CRAZY!

GAMEPLAY: 10/10

This game is hardcore for it's genre. Not many racing games give you the option to ram your opponents off the road and make them crash into oncoming traffic. It's rough and dirty for it's kind. But it's not just the ability to smash their asses. It can also involve a bit of style. Like the Vertical Takedowns where you land on your opponent's roof from a jump, and Signature Takedowns, where you take someone down in a certain place in a race. Its not just racing, its creative, violent racing! But if you just want the carnage without the racing, try out Crash Mode! Just plough that vehicle of yours in to some cars, and watch those two or three cars you crashed in to turn in to 50 or so cars, buses and trucks! Destruction to the max! Don't like the CPU as a challenge because it's not? Nobody does, so get online and cause destruction all over the world!

MULTIPLAYER: 8/10

Just Single Player with some friends. But some extra features have been added. But Online, well, different story! It's just as fun as Burnout 3 online, except better! The whole game's been improved, so Online gets improved too!

OVERALL: 10/10

If you love crashing cars, buy it! If you like racing, buy it! If you loved the previous Burnout games, this is s MUST for the collection! Pretty sparks!
