Midway Arcade Treasures 2

"The thrill of an arcade in the comfort of your home!"

Midway Arcade Treasures 2 is a way for you, my friend, to experience the thrill of an aracde right in the comfort of your room. Or, maybe your buddy's basement. Anyway, this is the second game to be released in the series, following Midway Arcade Treasures. The first was very good, and this one doesn't fail, either.

Story: 8/10
- Well, there are many games. So, there isn't one story. There are many of them. If you try to remember all of them, it might hurt your brain worse than the MGS storyline. Anyway, yes, since these are arcade classics, they all have their separate stories.

Gameplay: 10/10
- Since it has "arcade treasures," there isn't one basic game. There are many of them. I'll give you a brief list, but not all of them. I wouldn't want to ruin the fun of you buying it, now would I? Games include Mortal Kombat II and III, NARC, Rampage World Tour, and many more goodies. All of the games have their pros and cons, but mostly their pros. All the controls for the games are different, but are easy to get used to. Much different than a joystick, but better than shelling out 25 cents every time you die, huh? You can also tweak the options menu to your liking, and you can have your high scores saved.

Graphics: 8/10
- Again, these are arcade classics. They aren't going to have the graphics to the likes of Halo or Metal Gear Solid. They were made back in the 80's and 90's, when people didn't have much to work with. That's okay, though. We would not have games like Halo if it were not for these guys. As I was saying, the graphics are just like you are in the arcade, which is pretty cool.

Sound: 7/10
- This is where the game kinda fails, but when I say "kinda" I mean "kinda." It's really not that bad. Since the games were copied onto a disc, the sound sounds different (no pun intended). It still is great, though. It shouldn't stop you from buying it, that's for sure.

Final Recommendation?
Buy this! You'll be sorely mistaken if you don't! Don't waste the money renting it! Buy it! It has many arcade classics, without having to take the trip to an aracde. Although some of the games are M for mature, lots of the games can be enjoyed by all!
