"Haven’t played such a satisfying game in such a long time"

Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition is a mind-blowing action game and defiantly one of the best games I've every played. I'm a newcomer to the DMC series and so far this is the only game I've played out of the 3. I've played a few actions games before this, and this game really stands out above the rest.

Story: 9/10
You play as Dante, a half devil who was just about to open a devil hunting business when his brother Vergil invites him to a “party” and pretty much trashes his shop. I don't want to spoil anymore of the story, but it's much more interesting than lots of other stories seen in games. Dante makes a cool main character, and you will have a hard time finding a cheesy moment in the game, what you do see is lots of intense butt-whooping

Gameplay: 9/10
Amazing, the variety of weapons and customizations available will be enough to keep you busy for a while. There are exactly 4 types of melee weapons and 4 types of guns, they all come with different uses and combos, and are all upgradeable. Plus, only 2 of each type of weapons are allowed to be equipped at a time and can be switch anytime during real-time combat to give even more variety in gameplay. However the camera can be a pain sometimes, in most places you won't be able to change your view either, and it gets pretty annoying if you don't know what your locking onto and when they will strike.

Graphics: 9/10
The graphics themselves were pretty well done, I mean it's not like the “Final Fantasy” type of graphics but it still proves to be more decent that many other games. Thee animation for this game though, is astonishing. Action games need to have good animations more than other types of games, as they are a major role in the game.

Sound: 9/10
You can probably tell that the soundtrack seems to have much effort put into it, Most of the songs I will probably remember for many years to come. The voice acting was extremely well done, the English voice acting for most games I've played sounds pretty crummy, like they are on a low budget or something. I especially like Dante's voice acting, it really does make Dante more badass than he already is.

Length/Replay Value: 10/10
When I first saw special edition came with bloody palace, an extra mode where you fight enemies in a circular platform, and it said to have 9999 levels, I gotta say I had my doubts. Special edition also features Vergil as a playable character, plus 1 new difficulty making there 6 in total. There are also a wide variety of unlockables such as costumes and image galleries. The main story won't last you a week, but there will be enough things to keep you playing for a long time.

Final Word: 9.6/10 (not an average)
Buy this game, by now it should be about 20 bucks, which is very much worth the money. If you love a hardcore action game, or simply looking to experiment other types of games, id say Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition is the game for you.
