"The worst racing game I have ever playhed; And I've played Spyhunter 3."

I first heard of Need for Speed Carbon a month or so ago. I was fairly excited to see a sequel to Most Wanted had been released. I was also very surprised that it was given a PS2 version. So, I decided to buy it a few days ago. And my god, that was the WORST twenty-five dollars I have EVER spent. The instant I started playing it, I could tell "Need for Speed" turned into "Need to Leave Existence". (Sorry if that was lame, it was the best one I could think of) So let's begin reviewing the worst racing in the world.

Graphics: 6/10
Average. I'm also being extremely generous since the game looks exactly like Need for Speed Most Wanted. The tail lights are blocky, and give a very shoddy luster. And that really sucks since you'll be staring right at them for the entire race. Other than that, everything's either average or below average.

Sound: 2/10
Need for Speed's music is certainly not a strong point for the entire series. This is no exception. Not only did they lazily reuse the Police Pursuit music from Most Wanted, they also reused the cop's quotes; with the same emphasis, tone, timbre, everything. The music is pretty unnoticeable, fortunately for you, because if you do concentrate on the music, you will find it is complete garbage.

Gameplay: 1/10
The controls are the most cackhanded, out of control, unpredictable tripe I've ever had the misfortune to use. So, it you want to use a shortcut, you had better plan to use one about ten seconds before you actually do. Because if you don't, your car will hurtle into the wall, and be stuck there for about twenty seconds until you can finally get free, and helplessly watch your opponent whiz by you and take the lead.

Controls: 1/10
Now lemme talk here, you may think I'm being ultra-biased right now, including this as a separate category, and giving this a one also, but controls and gameplay are different. Controls meaning if they added any extra garbage that was unnecessary and completely unneeded. Which is exactly what they did. Now, you can compose a team to race with. You press triangle to make them do something depending on their race type. Wait, WHAT!? Not only is that the DUMBEST idea I've ever heard, but it is also COMPLETELY not needed. Can someone please tell me why they added this!? Please!? Need for Speed most wanted did FINE without all that. Why they added that trash, I have no idea.

Extra stuff: 1/10
Challenge series? Boring. Reward cards? Stupid and unneeded. Career mode? Too hard and kinky. Storyline? Ha! What storyline? NFSC's storyline SUCKS!

In conclusion: 1/10. Too harsh? Not harsh enough.
