"The Balls!! They're Inert!!!"

Let's play some DragonBall Z Sparkling! NEO, or Budokai Tenkaichi 2!
Alright I've owned all the new PS2 games since B1, and I though BT 1 was alright. When I first saw this game, I was like, yeah a few adjustments, big deal, so I rented it. -Two weeks later- Theres a coupon with the PURCHASED game on the floor, with me going OMFG, THIS GAME=PWNAGE!!!! Lets break it down.

Graphics-10/10
Need I say more? The only thing I didnt like was the fingers, but seriously, the rest of the graphics were so good, they made up for it. I mean, look at the backgrounds and the special effects of doing a Kamehameha!

Sound-9/10
Unfortunately, the only reason I gave this a 9 was because they didnt include Japanese music. But still, you even get to choose whether you want to hear the Japanese voices or not, and Mind Space is the only track I listen to in that game. XD Did I mention you get to choose your favorite song before a battle?

Gameplay-10/10
Alright HUUUUUGE improvement from BT1. And I mean HUGE. The combos are crazy fast, knocking your opponents into mountains, following them at high speed, just to knock them into another one. While some minor characters had old and generic moves, a lot of moves were updated, like the chargeable Kamehameha, and many others. Now, the controls got a LOT more complicated and some moves have become spammable, but still even the most annoying opponent who has got you into a corner can be beaten somehow!

Storyline-9/10
Same old, same old, but this time the storyline is absolutely huge, replicating nearly every fight in the series, down to the last henchmen. The only thing I didnt like was the cutscenes. A bunch of characters with word bubbles? Ah well, I still love it! It even includes the movies!

Replay-10/10
The replay value is excellent, having a huge selection of different battle modes, down to tournaments to the Ultimate Battle mode, where you fight many different opponents that have one thing related to each other, like Kakkorots road and Movies. Another thing to waste your time is the new Z Items, where you can equip different acting Potaras onto your favorite character and level them up to become a non-stop fighting machine!

Difficulty-7/10
While some annoying AI keeps spamming the same moves, difficulty lacked greatly, due to the fact that the hardest mode SSJ4 Gogeta, could have been easily bought down by Chaotzu. Hopefully they'll improve the difficulty by BT3 which Im currently waiting for!

Overall-10/10
What can I say? You read this review didnt you? A definite buy for hardcore DBZ fans, and even if you're not a fan, I suggest you look into this game. The fighting engine is crazy. With almost 120 characters to choose from, down to Oozaru Kid Goku to your last SSJ4 Gogeta, this game WILL keep you entertained for a long time. I mean, I've had this game for over a few months, but I still love it!!!
Its over nine thousand!!!!!!!
