"Nothing, but a Good time!"

8/10 Graphics:
Graphics wise this game looks beautiful, the characters have details in them, and the venues look more colorful. Everything else though looks the same as Guitar Hero 2. Overall, not too original.

8/10 Music:

The music is pretty good in GH Encore. It features: Dead Kennedy's, Ratt, Iron Maiden, Extreme, X, Dio, Juda's Priest, The Vapors and other bands. However, the covers aren't the best at all. Also, Sadly, their are only thirty tracks to rock out to. The selection could have been better, but it's alright as it is. Overall, good music, but not enough songs.

10/10 Game Play:

The game play is exactly the same as the other Guitar Hero games, but that's not a bad thing. You have a plastic guitar and notes come from a fretboard on the screen, you need to strum the strum bar to play them while having you other hand pressing a color note. Confusing if you have never played a Guitar Hero game before, but you'll get used to it. One more thing, the whammy bar, when playing long notes push this sucker in and out to make long notes sound different. As for the difficulty, this one's a tough one. The core sections of the songs are easier than previous Guitar Hero games, but the solo's are harder. I think they tweaked the Hammer On's and Pull off's in this as well. Overall, same old guitar hero as you know and love.

10/10 Replay Value:

You'll definitely be playing this over and over again to get better scores and put them on scorehero or trying to five star song to earn money for guitars. You may even play to have a good time. Overall, Tons of replay value.

Final Recommendation:

I would recommend renting this game before buying it for such a high price yes, rent it, weird because Blockbuster doesn't carry other GH games. You'll be playing this a lot and you'll have tons of fun with friends or by yourself.
