Review by NFRERESSURECTED

"Way too friggin' easy."

Well, I am what you could call a Guitar Hero fanboy. I've been a follower before the game even came out, I have bought all three games thus far (GHI, and both GHIIs), downloaded every song from iTunes onto my iPod and stick them in Guitar Hero playlists, and completely neglect my 50+ game collection just to play Guitar Hero for months. So obviously, as the release for this game drew nearer, my excitement grew much larger. After I kept getting my ass kicked by Jordan and Six on expert, having five starred everything else in GHII, and just looking for something to do, I thought that 80's Edition would be good so I could take my mind off of those songs for a week or two. I went to my GameStop the first day I could, bought this game, and ran into my room, anxiously awaiting thirty new songs to play.

...........What.......The......$&^@...???

Graphics- 3/10

Honestly, nothing was changed, except colors on textures. Nothing to Turn Japanese over here.

Sound- 7/10

The quality of the covers has actually worsened since the previous game, and there are FADEOUTS IN THE LIVE SONGS WHAT THE HELL IS THIS (The Warrior and I Wanna Rock, I point my finger at YOU.)

Gameplay- 10/10

Virtually unchanged from the original, which is a very good point. The GHII system is near perfect.

Difficulty- 2/10

.......This is the easiest damn game I have played in such a long period of time. I was near sleeping through the first two tiers of songs, then it started getting into the stuff I wanted to play. Not to mention, there are a ton of songs that were misplaced in their tiers (Police Truck, Los Angeles, Bathroom Wall, you are all too easy, you should move back a bit. What I Like About You needs a tier boost or two. It's one of the few genuinely hard songs in the game). However, some songs just happen to be difficult, like Play With Me....And uh.....>__>....I was done 5*ing everything on expert within 24 hours of owning the game...

Multiplayer- 4/10

I actually got the opportunity to play this game with a couple of friends a few days ago. They said that they couldn't find any songs they liked and wanted to play GHII, and to be honest, this game sucks for multiplayer.

Replay Value- 2/10

I dunno, I sometimes come back and play some of the tier six songs. I love playing Caught in a Mosh, Play With Me, Electric Eye, and Wrathchild. I can't really see myself religiously playing this addition to the series in a couple of months.

Average- 4.6
Overall- 5

This game was pretty "meh" for me, and I think I'm gonna take up a new series for a while while I wait for GHIII....Like God of War....
