Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2
Review by wolverinefan
"Fun arcade boxer"
Story This game has no story but each character has a back history and someone they hate. It's kinda neat to fight the person your boxer hates cause they say some funny stuff to each other. I wish there was a story but it doesn't really need one. I give story a 2/10
Control
The control is simple to learn. You have two high punches and two low punches. There ar also combos for each boxer but you don't need to learn them to beat the game. The only problem with control is when playing the weight lifting mini game the control is very weird and acts like you always mess up. I give control 8/10
Voice Acting, Sound Effects and Music
The voice acting is very good. The announcer is Michael Buffer which is cool. Each characters voice fits them very well. The robot has a robot voice, the cowboy talks like a cowboy and Michael Jackson sounds like Michael Jackson, well he should since he did the voice. The sound effects are your average cheering and booing and some grunts here and there. There is only one song but it never gets old cause there seems to be different versions of it. I give voice acting, sound effects and music a 9/10
Game Play
Try to KO the person you are boxing against. The game is really easy to pick up and play and doesn't seem to hard. There are four modes of play, arcade, championship, tournament and team battle. Arcade has you fight 12 boxers and become the champ. Championship has you raise your characters stats by doing mini games and you have to gain money and raise your boxers place. Tournament has you and some friends fighting each other in one on one matches and the winner fights the winner of one of the other matches. Team Battle lets you choose up to 8 boxers to fight against 8 other boxers and they battle one on one. There is also a good amount of secret characters that you can unlock by beating arcade mode. Some of the characters are Shaq, Michael Jackson and Bill Clinton. I give game play a 9/10
Replay Value
There are 11 or so characters to unlock which takes some time to do. Championship mode also adds a lot of replay value since it takes a lot of training to get really strong. Also the mini games in championship mode are fun. If you have friends, you can get even more replay value out of this. I give replay value a 7/10
Final Score
I give Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2 a 8/10
