Extermination

"Too bad this went under the radar of gamers"
Story
You and your friend, who are both marines, are on a mission to go to a base and do something or other. Your plane wrecks and you find out a virus has run rampant in the base. It is up to you to stop it. The plot sounds a lot like the plot to one of the Resident Evil games but it isn't. The plot is interesting and has some good twists near the end. Most of the characters are forgettable and there are a couple plot holes but it is still a good plot. I give story a 8/10
Control
The control is very easy to learn and feels like you're playing an arcade game. Running, jumping (yes you can jump in this survival horror game), shooting and what not is all easy to do. The only problem with control is when you're walking a small ledge you need to use the D-pad cause it very hard to use the analog stick to move along them cause you run when it's pushed up a certain amount. I give control a 9/10
Voice Acting, Sound Effects and Music
The voice acting is good. It's above average which makes the voice acting better than any other that can be found in a survival horror game. The sound effects are great, everything sounds like it should. Sounds range from explosions to water beasts freezing. The music is good and set a really creepy mode for the game. I give voice acting, sound effects and music a 10/10
Game play
The game plays a lot like an arcade action game. You run around shooting monsters and solving puzzles but these puzzles actually fit in for once. The puzzles are very well places but are never too hard or too easy. Most of them have you using card a on door a but some are harder. You never have to worry about running out of bullets and not being able to find any, when you run out you can go to a special machine that refills it, there is also a vaccine machine and a battery recharger. Saving is easy to do as long as you have batteries but you should have them cause most save machines are near a charger. There are a ton of enemies in the game and most you will want to run by but don't, there is a ton of backtracking and it's best to kill them on the first time through but you have to be careful cause you can be infected and then you will need to find a machine to inject the vaccine. I give game play a 9/10
Replay Value
There are no secrets and once you beat the game there is no reason to play it again. Well there are a couple secrets like, infinite ammo and all weapons at start but nothing really worth playing the game again. The game is kinda long and takes about 8 hours without a guide. I give replay value a 3/10
Final Score
I give Extermination a 9/10
