Extreme-G 3

"Fun yet flawed racer"
Story
There is no story and a racing game doesn't really need one. The characters do have biographies and stuff though if that kind of thing matters to you. I give story a 0/10
Control
The control is easy to learn once you figure out how to fire those weapons! The only real problem with control is you can't just hit the fire button you have to hold it which took me a little while to figure out. I give control a 8/10
Voice Acting, Sound Effects and Music
The announcer is really annoying but not as annoying as the woman who warns you about your ammo and shields. The sound effects are good but there is a lot missing like when you go through the underwater glass tunnels it doesn't make the correct sound and there is never any thunder on the stages that have rain. The music is good but it doesn't fit the game. All the music is techno and never gets you in the mood for racing. I give voice acting, sound effects and music a 7/10
Game play
Game play is flawed in places. There is only 10 tracks and some feel too much a like. There should have been more tracks and the tracks you do get aren't very good. Only one track I found fun and that was only cause of this HUGE loop and seems to take forever to go through. There is a good amount of racers to choose but it doesn't really seem to matter what team you pick. You can upgrade your bikes which is cool but there isn't enough stuff to add. The biggest problem with the game play is you can't use a boost or weapons till a certain point in a race for some reason and it's really annoying if you have guys behind you and the announcer says you can use weapons cause you will probably be killed right then and there. There isn't any slowdown which is good. I give game play a 8/10
Replay Value
Why did they do that!? The normal game can be beat rather fast and it's really easy. The only multi player is team career which isn't that fun to play. If there were more tracks and a normal two-player mode then replay value would be a whole lot higher. I give replay value a 2/10
Final Score
I give Extreme G 3 a 7/10
