Tales of the Abyss

Review by CerillaDestiny

"One of The Best !!!!!"

OK, you insert the Tales of the Abyss CD inside your PS2 and it begins.... A few moments later, THEME SONG plus a mini-trailer!!!! It's really good, ain't it? *coughahemcough* Remember, what I just stated is NOT a spoiler since ALL games have theme songs and a mini-trailer, so there! You can't sue me!!! Anyway, you press New Game and the story begins!! OK, another mini-trailer, if I'm not mistaken.

========================
Introduction to the Story / Story
========================

You start the game as a boy named Luke who is the son of the Duke Fabre. He has long red hair and emerald green eyes. Cheers, we've royalty here. JOY!!!!! *cough* ANYWAY, before I go off-topic, this Luke guy here slowly begins his journey in the manor, as in, Duke Fabre's manor..

Right, so WHY was he trapped in the manor?

Well, this is because he is still traumatized by the kidnapping of him seven years ago. And apparently, his parents managed to get him back, but not safely as he had amnesia plus the fact that he had forgotten how to walk and his own home language and so on...

p.s: I don't want to spoil it for you!! Play it yourself!!!!

SOUND/MUSIC:

Very nice. It is very well-suited to each place. It matches the mood, or, what should places actually, or normally have. This is because, some games, which I do not want to name here, have music that does not suit the place at all. But, for this game, I must say that it is very well-thought out if you know what I mean and also very suitable.

Rating: 10/10

VOICES:

Now, this goes under the category of Sound. You see, the voices suit each character perfectly unlike a few games when it is supposed to be a girl's voice but instead you get a sort of rough voice which does not suit the character at all.

10/10

GRAPHICS:

OK, this is what I call perfect. It is practically flawless. Enough said.

9/10

OVERALL:

This is one of the BEST RPG (role-playing) and Tales game I've ever played so far. Seriously, the plot is very well-done, well-thought out, and very imaginative. If you want to know what makes this game make the players say, think or review that it's really awesome, you PLAY it, NOT ask things like this,"Wow, what makes this game cool and nice?". It will only SPOIL the whole game for you. Anyway, there's much more to this game in particular then you think if you hadn't play it yet. The storyline is excellent and so is the flow. The plot connects with one another. I mean, they make you think it's dull but it's not. And NO, what I typed just now is NOT a spoiler. I am just STATING the FACTS.

The music, the graphics, the storyline, it all fits and connects. Unlike some/a few games I've played, their plot normally doesn't have any connections with the storyline at all!! Which, I am proud to say that this game has all the above which, I say again, fits.

Honestly, this game deserves a 10/10. So three cheers to Namco and other related industries(if there are any)!!! I hope to see more games like this one.
