Battle Stadium D.O.N

Review by BattleDON

"Fair game, worth the money."

Battle Stadium D.O.N

My Quick Review:

Introduction: Battle Stadium as you know is a combination of 3 different Manga/Anime from the Shonen Jump Magazine.
Before you purchase the game: Make sure that you the enjoy the type of game like Super Smash Bros this games fighting style is like that and also you like one of the 3 Mangas otherwise if you don't then I think you should be at the Super Smash Bros page instead of this place.

Gameplay: 8/10 - The Gameplay in this game is good, although it does not have a big character range and it has an ultra weird way of character unlocking. The in-game play makes up for all of that. There are lots of different game modes in this game such as Time attack, Survival and much more. The good thing is... you can choose to not go against your friend or enemy! This game supports Team play

Graphics: 9/10 - I am certain you will be pleased with the graphics in-game, it has a wide range of maps from Dragonball Z to One Piece to Naruto.
The character graphics are good and the attacking is spectacular.

Sound: 7/10 - The sound is alright but the character sound pretty different to the Anime(especially Goku). The background music - you won't really take much note of it since this game is so fun and good - sounds really good and gives you motivation to win the round you are playing.

Characters: 6/10 - Not much of a wide character range. 6 from Naruto, 6 from One Piece, 8 Dragonball Z. But there is a good thing for the tiny range of characters. Since this game has a weird way of unlocking characters as said in 'Gameplay' it makes it hard to unlock characters so it will take almost forever to unlock other characters.

Replayability: 8/10 - Great game for friends and family especially if you own the Playstation 2 Multitap which allows you to play the game with 3 other players (4P). Even without the Multitap it is still a great game to replay with an extra friend because of the Teamplay option.

Buying, borrowing, or renting?: This game is a definite 'Must buy'. By renting the game you are wasting your money because you will most likely go and buy it after renting.
Borrowing is a good choice if you borrow from a friend. This way you won't be wasting money renting and you can buy the game after borrowing.

Overall rating: 7/10 - Must buy, Must play, Must keep, Must not re-sell

Reviewer's Score: 7/10, Originally Posted: 01/31/08
