"Sleeping Dragon"

I got this game from one of my friends on my birthday. He knew how much I loved Legend of Legaia, and knew that Legaia 2: Duel Saga was the Sequel so he picked me up a copy. Legaia 2 is just as good as the first. It has an extremely high replay value for me due that I have beaten it 3 times in the past couple years. There are just so many things that you can do in Legaia 2 from Coliseum battles to Auctions. This game is truly a great game.

Story: 9/10

The story is pretty good as far as I know its Original, and is exciting. The main character is raised in a small town and journeys to better his fighting and to protect those he cares for from the evil one in this story. A mysterious man appears when the main character is hunting and gets injured. The evil one is called a Mystic due to his strange powers. Only a Few of the Mystic race are left. So he sets out to stop this Mystic from destroying the world.

Graphics 9/10

The Graphics are perfect especially when compared to Legend of Legaia. The landscaping is done pretty well and the characters are perfect they look great and have smooth animations, especially when the fighting starts. Nicely done all around.

The controls are about the same as Legend of Legaia. What makes this game better then most RPG's is the unique turn based fighting system. The battle system is Turned based like that of the Final Fantasy series but with one major twist. Instead of just pushing one button to attack, you input a combo using the directional pad on the controller and they character will perform accordingly. You lean new moves from scrolls and others in the game etc. but you also experiment on your own. There is some extremely powerful techniques that you can find. the possibilities are endless. That's what the best part is; each character has a different fighting style or their own. It is a truly unique experience


I recommend that you buy this game if you have played Legend of Legaia. Chances are if you played the first one you already have this one. This is truly a wonderful game with a great storyline and unique game play. There are not many RPG's like the Legaia series
