Spider-Man 3

"Spider-Man 3, Well it's a game"
Intro: Welcome to elvis1835's spider-man 3 review based on the PS2 version. In this review I'll discuss how I felt about beating this game and the basics of it. In general, I'd recommend as a game you play if you want to kill some time. It's not something you'd want to play for itself. Let's Begin.
Controls: The Controls were adequate for the gameplay They were basic. They were slightly confusing however as a simple slip of the hand could mess you up. As well the controls were glitchy at times, non-responsive or just didn't work. I guess they were okay but nothing special or commendable at all. It also lacked level outlay to control responsiveness. Say I'm standing by a building and I want to swing. I'll press R2 to begin and what happens? I catch a tree and swing off through the forest. Not the BIG OLD BUILDING right there, the little teeny tree to the wrong side of me. For this in total I give the controls 6/10
Music: The music was annoying and repetitive, and it was all random versions of the spider-man commercial music. Aside from that were long periods where there was NO music at all. Now that's SLIGHTLY forgivable as it is trying to present a worldly location and in our world, theme songs don't play all the time. It was okay in certain parts but I can't In good mind compliment it by any means. There could've been good music and there wasn't. I give the music of this game: 3/10
Graphics: They were fine for the PS2, expected PS2 quality, nothing big compared to it's PS3 and 360 rivals but okay. If you are a graphics driven gamer this game isn't for you. At least not on the PS2 version but if you don't really care about the games graphics and your basing a buy on it then I guess you could. Mildly boxy with web invisibility at times but not horrible. The cutscene graphics however, were horrible. They were a disgrace to the PS2 I give this 4/10
Storyline: Ha. This game had no storyline. Or at least no comprehensible one. One minute you're chasing lizards and the next your chasing vampires with just some unnecessary random link. Aside from that the storyline from the SM3 movie was close to invisible. It was a 5 minute portion in which all you had done throughout the game randomly links to the end of the story. It was a waste of a storyline if you ask me. I give the storyline, a just barely cutting it 1/10
Gameplay: The gameplay was smooth enough it flowed with little to no glitches and regularly kept up a steady pace. You could also gain great speed while web-slinging which definately added to the fun. Most of the moves, fighting, and traveling you did featured fun and fast gameplay. I give this an 8/10
Replayability: None. When you're done beating this game it doesn't even let you play through the storyline again and your only goal is to collect randomly placed spider medals, beat up gangs and finish leveling up. By then you're long since bored of it. Sorry but this gets 0.5/10
Play time: This game should have a total playtime of 5 straight hours. Yep that's all.
Conclusion: So technologically and storyline-wise I've given it bad ratings but in the end it's a little bit addictive, You want to beat it so you keep playing it's not so bad you wanna stop and not play but it's mildly fun if you can ignore game features. The game was tiring but deserving of some decent comments.
