Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles

"Good Naruto title..."

Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles takes you into the fictional series manga Naruto, players are set on a series of missions to help bring peace through out the land. The game itself is average, but doesn't really give you a whole lot. Let's follow through:

Story - 7/10

The story isn't all that great, but is okay. The basic plot elements, and different situations are easy to go by, and is a great mystery to follow on through out the game. A simple 7/10.

Gameplay - 8/10

The Overall Gameplay is pretty fun, and it feels plain awesome to unleash your powerful moves and powers on the enemy. In each task or battle you do, the game sets you in an arena to get it done in - whether it's to pit you against angry bandits, or crazy baboons. I find it very fun to play around in, and experiment your move list. The only bad thing is that you only have but so much moves it seems, and some of them only "look" cool, but lack the bite. Also, the real problem is the buying and selling system, it is quite confusing at times.

Graphics - 9/10

Easily, this game has some of the best graphics on the PS2, from the lush grass to the nice realistic bright clouds in the sky - this game delivers some pretty visuals. The nice scens you see in cutscenes you can actually battle on. An easy 9/10.

Sound - 8/10

The basic sounds of the game vary, and are often fun to hear. The voice acting (amazingly) is about the same as the anime, and amazingly they have all (or most of all) the actors, this will be enjoyable for fans of the anime. The bad thing can be the music, it can vary to annoying to just fun to listen to. A staggering 8/10.

Replay - 3/10

Seriously, the developers only worried about the first time experience, but the overall second time through can only be enjoyed so much. You can play through again with all your stats, and with new partners when you form a team but that's about it. An ugly 3/10.

Overall - 6/10

The game is really only meant to play one time through, but iff your a "Naruto" fan, you will enjoy playing it alot more than twice. Other than that, this game isn't all that special.

Rent or Buy?

For fans of the series, I would say you have to buy this game, but for non-fans I wouldn't really bother with it, if your bored, this is a game to rent next time your out.
