"Siren ~ Scariest Game. EVER."

Siren is an AMAZING game. It has what you all want, good unique graphics, intriguing storyline, interesting characters, and challenging game play. Well, maybe a little too challenging. But, I'll talk about that later.

So, onto the review!

Graphics ~ 10/10

I really like the graphics. The weird thing is, is the way that they look. It looks like someone has grabbed a picture, and slapped it onto the character. They blink, but strangely. It looks flat, and the game is in 3D. The reason I gave it a 10, is because of the in-game graphics. They look SO cool! It looks realistic, I always feel like I'm in the game. I don't see why people ramble in these, so basically the graphics are awesome, and unique!

Music ~ 10/10

Definitely a 10. There's not much to be said, but the music creeps into your soul…you'll be thinking about it ALL day. It's that scary.

Game play ~ 9/10

It's a 9, because it's REALLY hard. The game play is fun and enjoyable. The missions take awhile, but sometimes, you only have to play them once! The game play is creative and enjoyable. You sometimes have side characters following you, which can be a hassle. They get in your way, or don't follow your commands, so they die, resulting in a game over. Be prepared. Just a warning.

Controls ~ 9/10

I like the controls, they are east to figure out, the Sightjack is really easy, it just takes getting used to. The part I hate the most, is they triangle thing. You press triangle and it pulls up a menu, saying: Shout, Pick up, Come Here…etc. Instead of clicking “X” to pick up an item, you have to do the whole menu thing. I mean, it takes up time, and it can be EXTREMELY frustrating.

Plot ~ 10/10

No spoilers, I promise. The storyline is intricate and entertaining. Unique and clever. I can't say much more without giving it away, so I'll just leave it at amazing.

Characters ~ 10/10

I know that's a rare subject, but it needs to be covered. There are about 18 characters or so, and you play most of them. Some are just there as a side character, they're still characters, just not playable. You have to like at least one, I mean, there's 18! So instead of liking or hating 1-2 characters, you have a variety, so you can understand what's going on, and to have a favorite character. There's such a wide variety, I'm not kidding! There's an old man to a little girl you can play as. The characters are fun and interesting. Some are there just to piss you off a little, but it's pretty awesome, don't you think?

Difficulty ~ …(I don't even know how to rate this!) 5/10…

Well, the reason it's half way is because it depends on what you like. It has no effect on the final score, but it IS important. Okay, this game is intensely hard. You'd have to be a hard-core gamer to go through this without a guide. Even I had to print off one whole guide to keep with me at all times so I don't die. Like I've said before, you will die constantly, having to do missions over and over again. So, if you like a good challenge, get Siren!

Overall Score ~ 10/10

This is because of how terrifying it is. I can't play in the dark. I can barely play alone! It's a unique game, so I'd give it a chance. If you're new to this kind of genre, I would stick to other games to get a hang of how scary games can be, because this one is scary and hard! (Did I mention your enemies never really die? They die, then come back after a certain amount of time!)

So, if you like survival horror, a challenge, pee in your pants (optional…XD), then this is your game!
