"Zoom zoom zoom! A well-made racing game."

Two days ago, I had the pleasure of renting this game. I pretty much only stopped playing for food and drink, etc. And even then, I was still thinking about the game. ''How do I beat that %&^@ yellow car?'' I digress. On with the
review!

Gameplay

1.1Fun Factor
Never before have I experienced such a sense of speed. This may not be saying much, but when your making a turn and trying to accelerate at the same time, the car bounces like it should in real life. The races are fast, fun, and I'm only writing this review to let others know. Then I'm gonna go play it again ^_^

1.2 Difficulty
This can be a difficult game if you're new to the genre, or you haven't played a racer in a long time, like me :P Trying to go around a corner in a GTO is a job which you must slow down for, while the same turn in a Celica is considerably easier. I like that.

1.3 Control
Squaresoft has made a very easy to pick up game, but a tough to master one as well. As per usual, this game is easy to learn, but tough to master. X is acceleration, same old. But they added a new feature, too. O is the Hand Brake. This is the emergency brake in a car; the one near the cup holder. This thing helps slow ya down, and it helps when you got a fast car.

Story
It's a racin' game!! No story! Bah!

Sound

3.1 Music
The music in this game is without lyrics. (Or at least what I've heard, anyway.)But even still, the tunes are a plus to the racing. Also, there's this one track which seems to have Nobuo Uematsu's touch... You'll know it when you hear it, it's very subtle.

3.2 Sounds, noises, etc
Each car has pretty much it's own sound, and you can hear it clearly as they pass you and leave you eating dust. When you hit a wall, a *thud* is heard. Goodie.

Graphics
This could be very simply put. EXCELLENT! The cars all shine like new, and the car lights come on when it gets dark! The cars are made of quite a few polygons. Far more than GT2! Each animation is smooth, and lifelike. My mom thought I was watching NASCAR(God rest Dale Earnhart's soul) when I first started playing this. Looks real..
Replayability
Quite frankly, I don't see how anyone could stop playing this game. Good graphics, speedified, and all around FUN!

Buy or Rent?
As I said earlier, I rented it. Of course, that's only because I didn't know what it was like. Buy it if you are into the racing genre, but if not, rent it anyway. Fun, fast, exciting.
