The producer of Metal Gear Solid has a new game in town, is it up to par with his other major franchise, well not exactley.

When you first enter the world of Zone of the Enders it seems as though the great producer of MGS has done it again. The game opens with an interesting in game cinema showing what seems like a promising story line and introduces you to a not so likable character. Even when you begin playing the game it feels great. The controls are quick and resposive and the fighting is fast a furious. Although this may seem like gaming bliss somewhere along the line Zone of the Enders misses the mark, but not in a completley bad way.

Graphics:
Konami has managed to push out some of the most incredible graphics seen in a video game. The mech designs are incredible as well as the the weapons effects and explosions. Back grounds are amazingly detailed and fully interactive. You can blow up builidings, trucks, and more. The mech even makes sparks and indents if it's legs make contact with the ground.

Sound:
Once again Zone of the Enders is top notch. Gun fire, screaming, and of course major explosions are all well complemented and sound great. Even the voice acting is pretty good. This game sounds great.

Gameplay:
Here is where Zone of the Enders is sorda a mixed bag. Whilr fighting and blowing things up is a blast the game gets very repetitous. While the variety is somewhat there it never really feels like one mission is any different from the one before. You end up playing only to see if there is a change and to your disappointment there is not. While traveling is restricted only to an automatic type travel the game has it's restricitons. It ends up losing a lot of its fun factor due to lack of varitey. Although Zone of the Enders has a good storyline that will remind players of the tearjeking cut scenes in Metal Gear Solid. While the game is fun throughout, you will not enjoy it as much as other mech titles such as Omega Boost!! Altogether Zone of Enders is a fun but lacking game.

Zone of the Enders is in no way a bad game. It is merely a game where the devolpers went for cosmetic appeal over variety and gameplay. The gameplay is actually very good but a lack of variety keeps Zone of the Enders from being great and that is a disappoitment.
