Theme Park Roller Coaster
Review by Quimby
"DO NOT BUY! PURE POO!"
Holy bum, this game sucks. It glitches a lot, has long load times, and the Roller Coaster builder sucks compared to the one in Roller Coaster Tycoon.
~Game Play~
Well, it's good to go into first person view and explore your park and ride your rides. I like riding my coasters, because it gives me the feel of actually riding it, obviously. Placing path ways is simple, and so is deleting them. Placing rides and shops is also simple as well as rotating them. The game allows you to edit the speed and capacity to your safety and excitement needs of each ride. A VERY bad coaster builder, though. It only allows you to turn, loop, raise your heights, and bank each turn, which is crap compared to Roller Coaster Tycoon on the PC. The game informs you with an ''e-mail'' system, which is also done by the Hand-Man. Also, if you ever need help, there is a tutorial throughout the entire game, done by none other than the Hand-Man.4/10>
~Controls~
The controls are the best thing about this game. You use X, Triangle, Circle, and Square to open menus, and you use the D-Pad to move. They are very easy to get used to, and if you forget what does what, a Lay-out is in the upper-right corner to help you. 7/10
~Sound~
Another good thing about this game, but it's not important, is the sound. Everything is just right, from kids screaming with excitement to the confirmation on every screen, Bullfrog got it down good. 5/10
~Graphics~
The colors are crisp in Theme Park Roller Coaster. The graphics are smooth, except for a few jaggies when you are in the First-Person mode while exploring your park, which can only be seen when you get up close to a guest. The scenery stays smooth when you're on your coaster going 100+ miles an hour. It stays at a constant FPS of I'm-Not-Sure, except when you're zooming on the coaster that goes 100+ mph that you made, which is quite easy to do. 6/10
~Roller Coaster Builder~
It sucks. A lot. The thing you buy the game for ruins the game. Ain't that somethin? It is good at first, you know, when you make your first coaster. I guarantee that you'll hate it when you are done with your first coaster, too. It's simple, but limits you. You can't extend your coaster all the way along the park, and you cant keep it right next to every post, too. It also limits you by giving you a set number of posts to use for EVERY coaster you build in each park. It sucks. A lot. 1/10
