Madden NFL 2002

"Yet another great game by EA"

This game is outstanding overall, as i will point out the great areas that Madden NFL 2002 has, so here goes....

Graphics- 10/10 The Graphics for Madden 2002 are really show what the playstation 2 can handle. The players have been improved upon. (i.e the players eyes from last years version) The Coaches have been really improved and they look absolutely stunning, much better than last years version. THIS is what the playstation 2 is all about.

Gameplay 10/10 The gameplay doesn't get any better than that. It is outstanding. The thing that I love the most is the new and improved Passing mode. Unlike last years version, where if the CPU throws downfield the receiver would catch it for a big gain, but Not in this years version. There is more dropped passes, overthrows, and deflections.The running game has also been improved. EA did a great job on the passing and the running gameplay. There is also more animations like tackling collisions are better,and the replay after a big hit is awesome.

Features 10/10 There is a lot of features in Madden NFL 2002. There are new modes such as Two Minute Drill, and Training mode. The two minute drill is really unique, where you are on the 20 yard line and you try to score, and you earn points, not only that but you can also earn madden tokens too. Training mode is interesting. If you are a first timer, you have to check this out. John Madden himself teaches you some plays, and how to run it flawless, and again you can compete for tokens.

There are also more madden cards, in which there are cheats,historic players, and more.

Sound/Music 9/10 This is the only thing that disappointed me. The sound was great, but i didn't like the music. The music got a little repetitive, and it got pretty annoying after a while. Not the best thing EA did in this game. But, they did rebound in commentary. The commentary has been improved, and it is better than last year's version.

Replay Value- 10/10 Great... Absolutely, great.. You'll never get tired of playing it.

Overall- 9/10 Everything is great, the franchise mode, madden cards, graphics, animations, commentary, but the music only disappointed me. None to less, it is a great game.

Buy or rent? I definitely, suggest you buy this. It is Outstanding.
