Extreme-G 3

"Hardly known game but best RACER yet!!"

Let me start off by saying anyone who has played the other Extreme G's will have lots of memorys brought back with this game!

The idea of the game is that there are teams of people that race high speed(400-1000 MPH) motorcycles to prove who is the best racer. No in depth story. A matter fact there isnt one at all really.

This is one game that hasnt been much talked about because most people are focused on other games at the time. I rented hoping it would be like the old games and it was even better then i imagined.

Graphics and Levels: Amazing. Like most racers the levels are only so big and you cant see very far off the track. But this is amazing. You feel like your really there and driving and the levels are huge. You really have to see them to know what im talking about. For instance on one level its about 50 miles by 40 miles. It looks like it goes on forever. And the view is amazing when up high!

Sound: Not alot of sound but enough to keep you happy. Everything in the game makes a sound from birds to sonic booms. Sounds are very helpful if a weapon is being shot at you or if someone is behind you,

Music: While there isnt a huge selection. Its Techno/Rap/Rock all in one. You really get wowed by the amazing music. The music is so good infact youll be paying more attention to the music then the game sometimes. The music gives you a major.

Controls: Well not great. While the game is simple enough to control the sensitivity is not. It can be very annoying witht the controls set up so darn sensitive! But you do get use to them . And for anyone wanting to play this game AIRBRAKES are a must.

Fun Factor and Replay Value: Fun Factor is a 10 and same with the Replay Value. Due to the sense of speed you want to keep playing over and over and over. Between the mega sized levels, cool cars and everything else this game is the funnest game ive played yet for PS2 and by all means uses PS2s power to the max. The game is always smooth and doesnt have slow downs.

Tracks: Great , while they are not extremely long. They are amazing from loops, jumps, spins and so on. Cornering is a hard thing to do in the game but these tracks are so darn fun you really lose intrest in how goods you turn. In all there are 12 tracks. The tracks do anything from go under water to go miles in the sky!

How does it work?: Simple there are 4 events which each contain 3 races. Beat each race and you beat the event. Beat each event and you move on to a higher class of racers, the higher class is the same racers but with better engines. After you get through ...well... i cant tell you. Just play the game and find out what happens!

Power Ups,Racers and Motorcycles: No power ups in this game. The only thing you ahve is a plasma type gun. If you want more you buy more with winnings from races. Anything is buyable from EMP guns, boosters, engines converters ect.... Now the racers your rarley see but they look cool! And as for the motor cycles , thay all have a basic design and look really cool.

Speed Speed and more Speed: This game will test everything you got. While 5-30 miles courses might seem huge try going 1000 mph and racing them! The sense of speed is amazing. When reaching over 730 MPH everything in the game gets silent as you make a sonic boom. I can say this game is the fastest feeling game ive played. You never stop being amazed by the speed in it!

My final thought: This game is a must have! Theres no cons besides the little sensitive controls. Stop reading this and go get the game!!!
